I just did a repost of the one video. I cut it in half and took out the music.

Here is a picture of the pickup ring. That dark line you see is in the wood. It's not a break.

Eddie side tracked his own thread but this seems like good place to go rabbit trail.

I watched your video sans background music and for me it was much better, but I'm only me and it's a big old world out there. Whether it's driven by personal preference or perceived viewers' preferences, I reckon as the intellectual property rights owner you have to do whatever seems best for yourself. Regarding the video, the content is just fine, whether with or without elevator musak. As others have said, ignore the trolls. I have just one video up on YouTube (I have form concerning recordings!) and even that one video is private (Dane has seen it.) I guess I'm a bit too thin-skinned for the inevitable assaults from the oh-so brave keyboard warriors. It just makes me appreciate what others do even more.

Only a few more things to do on the Eagle Blues guitar build, and it will be singing! EB

The guitar is alive!!! The Eagle Blues guitar is making sound. I have it all strung up and playing. I will let it set and acclimate for a day or two, then check it out again. I have a couple of high frets that I know of. I'll know more after it sits for a while.
This build had fought me from the start. But it's now pretty much done. Still need to make a truss rod cover. I thought I had made one, but I can't find it. Must have gotten lost in the move.
I am liking the two volume pots. I can dial in a nice sound easily. The guitar sounds superb! The quarter pound and the wide range pickups sound good together.
I'll do a video of it in a few days. I might post some pictures of it later on today. I'll see how my day goes.

Great video Eddie! The guitar turned out very nicely. Also cool that it's kind of a colab with your son who does very nice leather work. Just praying that the Alzheimer's is slower rather than faster brother.

It has turned out really well Eddie. I think I may have commented on YouTube that I'd vote for a truss rod access cover to seal the deal brother.

For the life of me, I don't know what happened to the one I made. But I have been doing a lot of that of late "not remembering" what I do with things. So, I'll have to make another one.

Just praying that the Alzheimer's is slower rather than faster brother. Thanks, Dane! Yes, this is one special guitar build with my son being involved with it. In fact, it was his idea that I do something like this. I was going to carve an eagle into the wood. Or try to carve an eagle into the wood. LOL!
I have my days with the brain thing. The last 2 weeks now has been super hard on me. There for a while I was feeling more like my old self. Hope you are healing up well.

OK Steve, here you go. I was able to get out in the shop this morning before it started to get hot again and made a truss rod cover. The wife likes it a lot! So, now all I have to do is drill and attach it.

That's excellent Eddie.
How about some tiny neodymium magnets like you did with the control cavity cover? It's not as though it's likely to get knocked off, dislodged or lost in that location beneath the strings.
