I'm been teaching my son "Bat Country" by Avenged Sevenfold...some very nice post-modern shredding, I must say.

I started jamming on Cheap Trick's "She's Tight" the other night, so now I'm committed to learning it properly.

After playing just the main lick to "Beautiful Girls" by Van Halen for the last 20 years, I figured I'd finally go ahead and learn the whole song!

I'm trying to learn RF's "Start It Up" ( the "Live At The New Morning" DVD version...an absolutely KILLER solo!), working on trying to get the tonal nuances right on ABB's "Not My Cross To Bear", and I'm STILL trying to get "Rude Mood" right! GRRR-R-R-R-R-R!!!

I'm not learning anything new, just getting reacquainted with stuff I used to be able to play years ago. A few weeks back, I dug up a 3" deep stack of tabs I've printed from various websites since the early 90s...stuff I'd completely forgotten about! I've been rocking out some Stray Cats, Blue Oyster Cult, and SRV, to name a few.
There's actually not much new stuff out there that I like anymore. I knew I was getting older when I started not recognizing people on the cover of Guitar World.
