He's awesome indeed, but it's pretty hard to get all the notes right.... it sounds so easy when he does it

It's real straight froward and very useful. And very string bendable. www.justinguitar.com/en/SC-002-MinorPentatonicScale.phpd

I use that scale a lot. I also combine scales. Scales for me are not that hard to learn it's just knowing what to do with them after you learn them. But knowing scales helps out a lot when you want to copy/learn a song. If you know the root note you can figure out most of time what scale the player is using even if they combine the scales. Well I don't find it all that hard. The hard part is getting your guitar playing to match what you are trying to copy. For me it's hard to have the same feel as someone else you can get close but it's never the same as the one who did it first.

Flatpickers sounds derogatory like flatlanders did when I first moved to the mountains. And whats so easy about hitting all those notes with one pick compared to three fingers. Whiner. I really like that song btw. Just needed to heckle you. d

I played at the local coffee house tonight and I've been wanting to learn Blackbird. This young lady I've know since she was a kid wanted to play a couple songs with my guitar so she's up playing and she whips out blackbird. Now I once saw a guy juggle and he said he knew a guy the was dumber then a brick but he could juggle so he made himself learn how because this dumb guy could. I also taught myself to juggle because of that story, anyway I am now very inspired to learn Blackbird and learn it well. Any hints would be very welcome. The young lady in the story is not dumber then a brick BTW. d

One of them is called Learn to Play (Classic Rock) It has The song on it you want to learn. I'll send you a copy of the DVD if you want. This is a vary good DVD. You can slow things down take it note for note. If you want it let me know. Hey Joe No woman, No cry Life by The drop Sweet home Alabama Dust in the wind Blown in the wind Wild World Blackbird That is a list of of the songs. I got it to learn how to play some of the songs the right way. You would be surprised at how you may think something is played only to find out you have been doing it wrong.

I use both a pick and my fingers. I saw someone years ago play while using a pick and his fingers So over all the years I have thought myself to play like that.

I am working on blackbird. And as it turns out in standard and open G tuning. The open G seems to be much simpler but it will complicate my stage set up or tuning more during a show. This is my first real all finger picking song I've done. But it goes along with the acoustic duo thing I started with my bass player. He can make the bird noises and sing it while I play. d

and btw i pick with thumb and 4 finger Show off....... I too don't use any plectrum device other than my fingers. But I'm not as gifted as the Rover. I mainly use by thumb, index and middle fingers with the occasional ring finger thrown in. Sadly my pinky finger isn't much good at anything, it's more or less like that one kid that tagged along with your gang of friends. You know the one, he never knew when or what to do and was always trying to impress the others but just screwed things up... Yeah, my right pinky is that guy...
