Went to my new brain doctor yesterday. She seems to think like what I have been saying for a long time. Most of the problems I have been having including the stuff going on in my head are coming from my bad neck (most of it is fused) So, that means some new test for me. They have 4 of them lined up. If it is my neck, then they can pretty much fix some of the things I have been going through. I was glad she didn't want to put me on more drugs. So wait and see.
So since we had to be in the big city, I did get a few things for the shop. Also, I should be getting the parts for the glitter guitar. But now I can back on the neck through guitar. I was able to find the Minwax tung oil. Glad of that. It seems to be getting hard to find. So I got two cans of the stuff.

Sounds like this doctor is going in the right direction. Good to stay off the drugs as much as possible. Sounds like it was a good visit with the Doc!
I can get that tung oil even in California so it's probably just supply issues rather than anything else. Here in Ca. they have banned so many things or reduced the effective compounds to the point the products don't work anymore.

Good news Eddie. If it turns out that you've been misdiagnosed all along and the treatment on your neck turns the corner for you, it will be serendipitous indeed.

Here in Ca. they have banned so many things or reduced the effective compounds to the point the products don't work anymore. Yep, CA was doing that when I was there back before I moved in 89. Right before I left there, they were working on the sale of auto paint had to be sold only to people that had auto repair shops. It was getting real hard to buy auto paint without a license. Then you had to account for all the paint you didn't use. You had to dump it into a 50 gal barrel, then have hazmat remove it. Same thing in printing. I was not allowed to throw away any ink. It had to be handled by hazmat to dispose of it. Not an easy thing to do. Hazmat would charge a lot of money to handle what they called hazardous waste. That was back in the 80's. A lot of the stuff I used for cleaning the printing press in the 80's disappeared fast. Once the "green people" got hold of things, they went nuts. The stuff we were forced to use was junk!
No one here in Greenville, AL had any of the Minwax tung oil finish. In the big city, Low's was the only one that had it. I hope they don't stop carrying it. There is another product that is close to the Minwax tune oil. I see it all the time in bigger cans. I may have to switch to it.

Looks like it will be awhile before I get back to my guitar builds. I am in the middle of rebuilding my router table. I hope to have it done sometime tomorrow. Today is Friday. Still little of beat after spending the whole day in the big city.

And it does have some things that it's doing. But this doctor seems to think I have lack of Oxygen going to my brain that is the cause of a lot of what I am going through. This is something I asked the last 4 doctors about. This doctor, I said nothing to her what I thought. She is the one that brought it up to me. WOW! Every question she asked me led her to think it was more than the brain shrinkage. If nothing else, she seemed like she cared about me and my well-being. EB

Well it's really motoring on now Eddie. I'm not up for the blackburst really but hey- it's not my creation. I'm not really into those old Japanese quirky sparkly electric designs but this idea of yours has really gelled with me.
Sadly I experienced video from the 1990s dyndrome on this one and it really became a chore to watch. That was via Proboards to YouTube. So I tried YT direct. No good either. Then I switched from WiFi to cellular. Still no cigar. YouTube are you reading this?

Took like 4 1/2 hrs to load. I got up at 5am to get this on YT. I almost stopped it and for got it. I don't know how many more videos I'll be doing or not. But they are going to slow way down. I better things to do with my time than to make videos that are making money for a lot of other people, other than myself.
It's been fun and all, but where does one draw the line?
Sorry, you are having problems in viewing. Don't know what to tell ya! I know for the most part I view on my computer. That way, I can block all the ads.
For me, this has been a fun build so far. This old guitar has a load of great memories. While working with it in the shop, I catch myself remembering some of the cool stuff of the old days. One reason I would like to put that flower back on the rebuild. Lots and lots of memories.
One memory is I got to meet Jimmy Durante on a TV show that he did back in the 60s. You "Ha cha, cha, cha, I got a million of them" guy. LOL! He was my first big time (old time) start I got to meet. Was so cool!
Yep, it may have not been a Fender or a Gibson, but that guitar has a lot of stories in her. I was like 15 years old in the pictures I posted with me play the guitar, that was around 1969. By 1971 was when I bought the 71 LP custom.
My dad bought the sparkle guitar when I was like 11 years old. I was taking guitar lessons with it at 12. By the tie I was 15 I was playing and making some big money with a working band. That band became a show band because of me. Once we became a show band, we worked all the time. During the summer, we would have to 5 gigs in one day. We went on tour and changed costumes in the car going to the next gig.
This poor old sparkle guitar never had a case, it sat in the heat in the car or trailer, It took a beating for a kid that didn't know anything. Other than how to act it up on stage. LOL! Yep, loads of fun with that guitar. It to me deserves to be redone. Kind like taking an old car and giving it new life.
The guitar may not be everyone's favorite guitar. But she is my first love and first electric guitar. My DNA is all over this guitar. My fingers would bleed from learning how to play it. My mom would tell me to stop playing it so much. But I could not stop. Even when my fingers would bleed.
But so far the videos of the Sparkle guitar is getting a lot of hits. I guess that's good? LOL!
Today I got the heal and body all shaped in. I think I'll be working on the pickguard tomorrow. A friend of mine suggested that maybe I should use a darker stain around the edge. I may do that.

I keep posting the videos here because I don't take pictures to post anymore. I got tired of running out of space on the iCloud. I am full up on there, and it won't let me store any more pictures or videos without paying more for storage.
So, I know you Dane and Steve are the only two that post on here and on YT. But since I started this post, I feel I need to fallow through with this build.
I will have a yet one more build that I will be starting soon. That will be one with the P90s I had John make for me.
After that, there won't be any more builds from scratch for a long time. Looks like I may have to have neck surgery again. So that will put me down for a long time. I would like to get all of my builds done before that happens.
So as it is for now I will keep on posting my videos here as long as I can if for nothing else to help keep Guitar Attack with input. EB

I was doing the same thing posting videos in both places. It's a lot to keep up with. Hope you get it all done before the surgery.
