Hey thanks! I really would like to get this up and playing by December, but I know it's not going to happen that fast for me. I want to get it up and going because it is the lightest guitars I have built. So for me and my neck, it would be a cool thing. EB

I'm a sucker for old pups like this. They have a certain mojo that just isn't there today. So what are they and what did they come off of?

The pickups came off my fist electric guitar. They are around 1964. The body of that guitar was made of plywood and over the years the wood came apart. I really don't know who made them but the last time I heard them they sounded great! The guitar they came off of was still a working guitar just a couple of years ago. I have to add on to one of the pickup leads because they are about 4" too short. But other than that, I can't hardly wait to hear them again!

Thanks Chris! she is looking pretty good if I say so myself. At the moment this build is on it's second can of clear. So not much to report on it. I am hopping to get the clear done before it get cold here. But it look like that is going to happen this weekend. Once it gets cold it will stay that way for a long while. So If I don't get all the clear done to it soon, It will be sometime next spring or early summer. As well as for the rest of my builds. I am doing a lot of repairs at the moment, so that takes me away from my builds. EB

Well, the clear coats are done on this project, and now I am letting it sit till I can color sand and buff. So that will be a while. I did get one sag in the clear but I hope it wont be a big deal. EB

I don't know how many of you remember this build, but I got it out of the archives and did some work on it the last week. I got the finish all done, it's been color sanded and hand buffed. All of the fret work is done. I don't have any tuners for it yet. So that part will have to wait for now. If anyone has any 3x3 chrome tuners they want to sell just let me know. Just to refresh your memory, the pickups are out of a 1960's guitar. That guitar was my first guitar, But that guitar had seen better days, so I have been using the parts for this and other builds. Well, that's it on this one, until I get some more parts. I also need 4 pots and switch. Again if any of you have any you want to sell let me know. Thanks for looking at this build! EB

Yes it is a good looking top!
I'm getting excited to see how this guitar will sound. Those old pickups had a great sound to them. It will be cool to hear how they sound with a hollow body, maple top and mahogany body and can't forget, a maple neck with rosewood fret board. EB
