Ok sounds good!
Ok well back to the purpose of the forum, what body are you thinking about? I mean you said you don't really like V's and I think you have plenty of strats and teles.
So are you for sure doing a double-cut or what?
I'll try to turn my attention to the actual style you might be leaning to!

I am down to two stiles. One is a more like a the early Chavez (Fender looking) The other is a modified LP or even a down sized ES335 it looks more like a double cutaway Less Paul with the ES335 look.

Ok personally I really like the ES335 with the Gibson double-cut look.
So are you making the horns sharper and deeper? And does the scaled down size help with the feed back and extra noise?

I think the double cut gibson will look very nice... maybe you can make an F hole in it like in the thinline telecasters, I don't know if it will look nice but it's just an idea ;D

Yes the one I have seen had a Less Paul butt and the horns were like the ES335. It looks like a down scaled ES335. As far a feed back it is in the design. You have to make enclosures around the pickups and that keeps it from feed back. And yes it would have the F holes (2). I am really thinking hard about it... Hummmm....

Maybe it's a idea to paintshop it, so you can see what it will look like?

This is one that I was bidding on sometime ago. I was told it was a Less Paul size. Here is the other one I like a lot.

I am down to two stiles. One is a more like a the early Chavez (Fender looking) So Eddie is the chavez like a Mexican charvel? I had a es335 copy by Samick. Full sized with 2 f-holes and it was a feed back monster. Those guitars were really made for smooth jazz kind of music. It probably wouldn't feed back if I could get a long way away from it on stage but I've never played an arena. d

HA! HA! You know I can't spell!!! And I can't type!
Yeah I know it look like full size to me too but all I know is what the guy told me. Well I didn't win the bid but I would have been happy with it full size or not. It had a cracked neck.
I did have a ES335 like I said but there are was to make them not feed back.
I still would like to have one again. I would really like to try a craved top. Been looking at some real good videos of hand carving a top. Looks like something I could really get into. This one I seen the guy says it takes him a month to two months to carve the top and back. When he was done they are real cool. So much better than I have ever seen on any factory carve top. I know my first one may not come close to a guy that's been carving tops for over 30 years but he had to start somewhere too.

Um sorry Eddie, but that wasn't a video haha.
Second, that other guitar body is almost like a modern day Schecter. I like it though. It's very sleek and it just looks clean. I like the thru-bridge too!
Either way, I think you are set, maybe you just need to asses what kind of tone and style you want it to play???

There I fixed the link. I play all kind of music. But these day's I like the blues stile. Not into heavy stuff any more. Like I said I have played just about everything. I once asked a guitar player what kind of music did he play? He said both kinds Country and Western! HA! HA!

Haha well to me then not that couldn't get a blues sound but I just think a Hollow-body would be a new challenge for you and it would be really cool. Plus, you can name it Lucille and probably be better than B.B. King himself!
