Thought I would share this. Microsoft has a software called "Clipchamp" It's got a small learning curve and is fun to make videos with. It has two options, a free one and one you pay for. The free one seems to work for me.
It was made for Windows 11but work great in Windows 10. It is an online software, and you have to be signed in to Microsoft to use it. I have not seen ads, nor does it seem to bug me to upgrade.
Might be something for some of you to look at. I made a video with it for one of my YT channels. At the moment, it does everything I want it to do. I was looking for something that is easy to use on my laptop. So far out of like 10 that I have tried out, this is far the best one. I hope it stays that way. It reminds me of the old Microsoft video software from XP. But you can't get that anymore.
Now, I don't get anything for from Microsoft for sharing this info. It is something I found that works well. Once you learn how to use it. And it's not that hard to learn. Not like some video software out there.
The pay version is a little over $100.00 a year. It has some things in it like you can insert pictures in videos. Or do videos in videos. Stuff like that. And some of the music you can only get through the pay version. It says on the website you can use the pay version music, but they put a watermark on the video that will appear across the whole video.
So I guess if one was monetized, the pay one would be alright.
I hope this can help someone looking to make videos for YT and other medias. Seems this is the way things are going these days. Only trying to help out.

Thanks, I'll take a look but y'all know how challenged I am with software ;<D
Actually, it is the constant reinvention of the wheel that prevents me from putting effort into learning this month's latest and greatest.

Here is another video I just posted on my Eagle Blues Kustom Guitars channel. This was made with that program. I am still learning it. But you have to make videos to learn. LOL! EB

That's awesome Eddie. How many of those are now in the hands of other fortunate owners?

I do have many that are still with me. I just can't part with them. I don't think that I'll be selling any more of them.
There are 3 production guitars that I may sell. But they are not in the video. Once I sell them off, I won't be buying any more guitars. The guitars I have that I made will be given to family after I am gone.

Ok, I will have to upgrade my computer. Seems that most of the video editing software will not work with my laptop. The processor is too old. The computer is only 10 years old. What do they want?
Going to get the M2 Mini. Looks like it should do everything I want it to do. I got the one with 512 mem in it. I have a one terabyte external hard drive I plan to use with it.
It comes with iMovie. That is what I use on my phone. The one for the computer is bigger and better than the one on the phone.
It's been a long time since I got a new computer. I hope this will be a good one for me. It won't be here until the end of the month.
EB I also took down the video I made with that other video software. The music I used had a copyright on it, and they put a full claim on my video. So I deleted the video. I hate it when they say it's for free. Then they do that to ya!

I only have one video up on The 'Tube and it's not public. I watched it a couple of days ago and guess what? Ads. My channel isn't even monetised so what gives? They make shekels from my intellectual property? I have contempt for them because they cannot even claim that they know not what they do, so there isn't any wiggle room to facilitate forgiveness. Another day another dollar huh?

Another day another dollar huh? でつ e&oe ...Yep! I would like to know how I can get in on the cash end of things. LOL Seems like everything I do cost me money, while it seems there are those that make money in everything they do.
Every time I turn around, someone is wanting something from me. I keep chasing my tail on YT videos. Just about the time I find something that seems to work, then someone puts a claim on it.
I bet you that even if I did my own music, someone will put a claim on it at some point. Only because the music sounds like what someone else has done. I have seen others complain that even their videos with no music has had claims put on them because of brands they have talked about. Looks like free advertising for some is not good enough.
I am thinking of keeping everything private on YT. I have said before I am only putting up videos for family and close friends. I am going to start gearing more to that.
I can hardly wait for my new computer. It will be my first Mac that I have had in a super long time. Be nice not to be using Windows anymore. So tired of Microsoft. I like Linux, but to me, it's OK for everyday stuff. But hard to use for videos, and their graphics to me are not up to par.
But it seems now in days if you're going to be line, you need some way of doing good videos and graphics. This is the way... LOL! I like making videos, they are a fun way of doing things when it comes to my guitar making. It's a good way of showing that it me doing them and being out sourced. It's still funny to me that most of the people that go on at me are the ones that have nothing to show what they do. All they have are a bunch of fake claims that they have done something. But nothing to show what they have done really done other than them posting words against me or others.
For me, I can't seem to get away from, guitars and computers. At least for the moment. They both are playing a big part in what I do. I like to share my experiences with the computers in hopes that someone can learn a few things as I am learning with some of the new technology that is out there. Although I didn't think I would be doing this at this stage in my life.
So I hope you all don't mined me sharing about all the new things going on when it comes to guitars and computers.
EB
OH, to let you all know that guy I have posted about that has said nasty things about me online is still at it. He has now posted about me on Yelp. He has posted some pictures of me that are from my YT videos. And has said some awful things about me. Don't know what he's trying to prove because I have no business. So what does he think he is doing? LOL! OH well...

Congrats on the new computer. I use the iMovie on my MacBook and it suits my needs just fine. There are always learning curves with new programs and for sure with a completely new OS.
I've only had one issue with copy write. Well two. My first video had The Beach Boys playing in the back ground. And they monetized to some music group. I didn't care, at that point I was so far from making and money it was a moot point. Second time was a couple years ago and some "duty free" music got a claim. I just deleted the 5 seconds of offense and moved on.
That guy again....

They have bots they squeeze every penny they can get out of each video posted.

They have bots they squeeze every penny they can get out of each video posted. I can understand that people want to make money. But, when you use a software that gives you music to use for free. It should be just that, Free. No ads, no claims later on Free! I get so tired of using some of the "free music" only to have it make some kind of claim on my videos that took me a long while to produce. I'll keep on plugging away at it. But I am going to see how I can add my own music to my videos. The thing with the so-called free music they don't tell you if there is a copyright on it that they will use later on, on your videos. No, they wait until you post your video. That also takes a lot of time to upload a video. But I guess the people that make videos and our time into them is worth nothing at all.
Maybe I just flat don't understand. But to me, it's like when someone gives you something, then once they give it to you, they start telling you how to use it. LOL!
I can't tell you how many times someone gave me something, then started to tell me what to do with it or how to use it. Like money. I had someone give me $5,000.00 once, (that was a long time ago) then told me how to spend it. Wait, is it my money or not? Hum... Same way I feel about free anything. If it's free for me to have or use, then that should be it, no strings attached to it. You don't give someone something, then later on tell them they owe you for it. What a crazy, crazy world we live in. EB

Well, I went back to some of my old school days with Microsoft. I was able to sign out of all my Microsoft accounts and make my computer sign in without a password or pin.
Microsoft likes to hide a few things, but is not all that hard to do. For a long time, I have had a Microsoft account. But since I am winding down and doing as much on Microsoft as I once did, I thought it was time to let it go...
I use Open office for any office type things, open office works as good if not better than Outlook stuff. I use Fire Bird on my PC for email. It works better than outlook by a long shot.
Now my PC is running even better. One reason is that MS can't be running all the stuff behind me and spying on the things I use and do.
But, I am looking forward to the Mac. I know Mac has its pitfalls as well. But I am willing to go with Mac. I am so tired of MS. As far as video making goes, I think that Mac still is the best out there. Even in graphics. As an old printer and setting up graphics for print, Mac is king. Every time, someone would use a PC for graphics (outside the shop) and they would bring in their own set-ups done on a PC, there were all kinds of problems. We would have to wind up redoing it on Mac.
Well, again, I know this is not about guitars. But maybe it is in a round about way.
I can hardly wait to see what kind of videos I can make on the new computer. If it works as good as it does on my iPhone, I will be one happy camper or guitar carver! LOL! EB
