I feel your pain buddy. Well maybe not exactly but I'n stranger to it myself. I have a good friend that spent many years strung out on pain meds. It got pretty bad before the docs got things leveled out. I think the once a month meeting is a good idea. I know friend couldn't remember if he took his meds and he would take more. Then he he was really screwed up.

But I don't do well with drugs as a whole. They have to introduce drugs into me a little at a time. If they don't, I am in big trouble.

You have been busy making videos. It is the way... LOL!
This is how I learn. I just now learned some new ways of editing. I'll be trying them out soon!
It's going to be raining for the next 3 days here. I won't be out in the shop much until the rain passes. That will give me some time to work on editing.
There is a lot to learn in making videos. A lot more than I wanted to do. But I guess it gives me something to do other than waste my time on making guitars. Seems it's more important to make good videos.

It's coming together nicely Eddie. I take it those are not John's creations going into this guitar? Your neck through project sounds as though it'll be good, but of course it's all a bit sketchy ATM.

Your neck through project sounds as though it'll be good, but of course it's all a bit sketchy ATM. でつ e&oe ...Thanks for watching the video. No, the P90s John made me are going into one of my other guitars. I have thought of using them in the neck through. But that guitar won't happen for a while.
But, I am so wanting to redo a guitar of mine that I think the P90 that John made will work out just the way I want them. The guitar I would like to put them is my Black ES 335 I made a long time ago. It has some finish issues and I would love to redo the guitar. Then I have that fabric guitar that needs to be redone as well. It, too, would be cool with them JW P90 pickups!
But right now I am trying to stay focused on this P90 build. I hope by next week to start on the Minwax tung oil finish. I still have loads of sanding to do.
I did get more done to this guitar today. Likewise, I might put up another video on it tomorrow, but it may also be a day or two.
Still trying to keep my videos on the short side of things, only because it takes so long to upload videos. If I go 30min or longer, it takes almost 4 to 5 hours to upload. Some of these that are 30min or shorter only take 1 to 2 hours.
YT says the longer the videos the better if you can keep people interested. Hum... But when I was in school learning how to talk in front of a crowd of people, I was told 20 min is or was how long people stay interested.
I have tried it a few ways on YT. To me, it doesn't seem to matter. Seems I get the same amount of people looking at my videos. I do know that most people only view the first few min of my videos. But again, I think most people on YT or anywhere else are surfers. Unless it is something over the top stupid, people won't look.
I’m not going to worry about it anymore. Going to do what I do. Have fun doing it, and to heck with everything else. But it would be nice to know how some people can attract so many followers in a short time. I just looked at some new people that do guitar repairs on YT. They have only been doing that for less than a year and have thousands of subscribers. How does that happen? Their content and the way they do things is nothing over the top.
Oh well, not going to worry over it no more, Oh wait, I said that. LOL!!! EB

As much as it pains me, I had to stop on this build for a few days. I am doing well at all. Don't know when I'll get back to this guitar. Right now, I am coaching my wife in getting started on the shelving unit for the house. We got the boards all cut and thicknesses and sanded a week ago. So today I got her started on putting on the clear coats on the boards. She has another day's worth of work on them, then maybe we can start to put it all together. We will have to see how I am doing in a couple of days.
I may post a video on the shelves on N.E.W. customs, my other YT channel. Think that is what I'll be using that channel for. Not just guitars, but for some of the other things I do as well. EB

I decided to wait another day before I do the color sanding. I got to thinking, I put the last coat of Minwax tung oil on it around 4pm.
Need to let it sit until then, So, I'll wait until tomorrow before I go for it. I checked on it a little bit ago, and it's looking good! EB

Looks like i'll have a delay on this guitar. I color sanded it and I don't like how it's looking. Did some buffing on it, and it looks like some wood fibers raised up higher than the 10 coats I put on it. I came in to get away from this guitar, and after I cool off (because it is hot in the shop) I'll go back out wipe it down add 3 more coats of the finish on it. I hope that will be all I have to do. The neck looks fine. But the front and back of the body looks a little off to me. So, I am not happy with it at this moment. But I will overcome this. EB

Finishing is a black art in my book Eddie. I'm sure you've encountered this before now and will get around it. "Sleep on it".

Doesn't seem to matter what kind of finish I use there is always some little thing to chase.

I've been playing P-90s more lately. I have a Les Paul Special with P-90s I've been playing through my old Marshall. It has a great Humble Pie "Live at the Filmore" vibe...very punchy.
I look forward to hearing this guitar and hope you like the pickups.
