Here is the Guitar Attack parts build. I also posted the video on the Guitar Attack parts build that has been pined on the forum. I hope the video will show two things. The build and as to what happened to the pictures on the Guitar Attack parts build. So far the is the longest video I have done. I almost was going to do this in two parts. But I think I covered most of everything. EB
Thanks for the shout out, Eddie. Appreciate it! Thanks for posting the video, and that is a great looking guitar. John

Hey Eddie -- Welcome to my world! That is kind of the Nashville thing..."Sure, bro...I'll come see you guys play...and buy some merch." Two weeks later: "Sorry man...something came up." I've made a lot of videos. I just can't help but think there are so many now that people are kind of numb to the entire enterprise, and it has to be something really spectacular/weird/noteworthy to get people's attention now. I recommend staying at it and something will eventually get some traction. Good luck, John Thanks John. I know you are right. When I use to go on tour or play at a local gigs. I got the same thing.
There are now so many videos out there on everything. I know I have become bored with a lot of it as well. Same on many of the FB forums I am on. Same thing every day. So many of the same questions over and over again. I now hardly even comment on the posts.
Guess I was hoping to have more of my friends support me on it. Like I said, I always support them on their videos, blogs and so on.
I'll keep posting. I may not do as many in a week. LOL! EB

I promise to catch up up on these vids Eddie. I was just talking to my wife. I was telling her how disappointed I am with making the videos. I understand that people are busy with their lives. Please I am not getting on to you. LOL!
I have almost 200 friends on FB. I have asked them over and over again to go to YT and give me a thumbs up and subscribe. I have 8 people that have subscribed and only a few thumbs ups. Out of them 8 People only 4 are from FB. The other 4 are from YT.
I really don't want to make how to videos. I have been watching a lot of the videos of the Great Guitar build off 2021. Most of them put me to sleep. That's because it's the same thing over and over again.
I have been trying to come up with ways to make my videos more down to earth. I play music that I have written in trying to YT from shutting me down. The thing is I always suport what family and friends are doing on FB or YT.
Will, maybe I expect to much out of people.
My stand for my iPhone comes in today. I'll see how that work out. I have a lot of other builds that I can post. My wife tells me to keep making them because I enjoy making them so much. Pluse it gives me something to do. So, that is what I'll do. I now have 6 videos up on YT.
EB
I had written a lengthy reply to this yesterday at work on my phone. But it didn't load for some reason. Well I'm not going to try rewrite it word for word but here goes. Actually new ideas today, I've been making vids for around 10 years total though I did take a few year break in there somewhere. I purposely never asked for subs or likes in the beginning cause I just figured if people liked what I was doing they would like and sub. I know nothing about how the algorithm works or what social media to get involved with to better build a channel. I got involved to try and build my mail in repairs like some of the other folks on YT were getting. But that hasn't happened and with the prices these other folks charge for what I think in some ways are substandard repairs. I don't know how they stay busy. I guess I need to brag and rant and swear a lot. Anyway I'm coming to the point where if things don't pick up a bit I will probably stop doing videos. I never want to make people feel obligated to sub or comment but I am truly interested to hear what people think about what I am presenting. Said all that I guess to say, do YT for you or for those you know are interested in what you have to say. Like John said you would have to do something pretty over the top video wise to build a large audience.

Like John said you would have to do something pretty over the top video wise to build a large audience. Yep! I get it. My wife and I were doing something silly the other say. We got to laughing really hard. I told her I wished I would had did a video of it. I know it would have gone viral. It does seem the more outrages it is the more views one will get. I didn't know you had been on YT for so long. I kept seeing other videos you had done like 5 years ago. It's funny to me how some people attract so many followers and some people can't but a few likes.
The Great Guitar build off is one of them places. Some of the videos I have seen are great, and they have so little feed back. Some of the worst videos I have seen, have a lot of feed back. You just don't know whats going to turn someones cookie. LOL!
I know that shipping has gone up a lot. When I was in business a long time ago. I got a deal with UPS, and USPS because I was shipping out so many things every week. But, that was back in a time when shipping was really not that bad. The last guitar I shipped was well over $100.00 US I took a big hit on that one. Because I offered free shipping. I said that because this could be an issue for some people. When I shipped some stuff to you, I was shocked at how much it cost.
Well, anyway, I mainly started the YT videos to leave some kind of footprint of what I have done and am doing. So if nothing else I have done that. Another reason I don't want to do a lot of editing. I like how my videos come out so far. The are simple. I have had some good feed back form a few that know me. So I guess that's something.
I'll keep on keeping on with the videos as I can. Trying to figure out how to do one today. One that wont show my mess while waiting on my new work bench to come in. It was supposed to be in today, but now I have to wait till next week. The truck driver got sick, is what I was told. Hum...

Well, here I go again. I traded off my Fender Blues deluxe for a Peavey Delta Blues. I can't get away from the Delta Blues amp sound. The one I traded for looks like new old stock. It is a USA made one. This one does not have the stand by switch on it. But it does have the tube cage on it. A plus! Still has the hang tags on it. He told me he bought new 2 years ago. But who really knows.
I am thinking of doing a video on it. I'll go over some of the things I like over the Fender amp.

The Fender Blues Deluxe is a highly respected little amp so the Peavey must be a bit special Eddie. I watched a Lynyrd Skynrd video of Freebird played live at an outside concert and I noticed that they all seemed to be using Peavey amps. Hartley Peavey was just as much a visionary as Leo in some respects. He introduced CNC to mass guitar manufacture IIRC?

Hartley Peavey was just as much a visionary as Leo in some respects. He introduced CNC to mass guitar manufacture IIRC? e&oe ...Back in the late 60s early 70s, Peavey was known for how well built they were. People would call them gorilla proof. I was in playing through the amp today, I have to say I like the sound on the Peavey far better. Even the wife came in to tell me how much better it sounds.
I was surprised that the guy did the trade. He had the DB amp on the FB market place. I asked him if he would be interested in a trade. He told ma a big NO! So, I said OK but if you change your mine let me know. He said... I don't need another amp. Not an hour went by before I heard from again. He asked me why I was wanting to get rid of the Fender amp. I told him I have had the amp for around 2 years and was wanting to trade it for something else. Plus I had owned a few of the Peavey DBs and I miss the nice distortion that they have over the Fender.
He said oh!... Lol I knew I had him... About an hour went by he came back at with, "can you put something else in the trade to sweeten the deal?" I told him no I know what the amps are worth and that I would be loosing money on my end.
He then said he wanted to think about it. I said OK. The next early morning I got a message saying he didn't want to do the trade. I tole him that's fine.
I told my wife that he didn't want to do the trade. I also told her he would get back to me in 2 to 3 days and that he would want to do the trade. So, 3 days later I get this message that if I was still interested he would like to go thorough with the trade.
My wife could not believe that I was right about the trade. She asked me how I knew he would do that. I told her it's from experience of dealing with people even through messaging. Somehow I can read people.
So that is how I ended up with it. I have to say I still love to do the wheeling and dealing thing. It's been a while since I had done anything in that. Felt good to know I still have it! LOL! EB

LOL! ... To me it's like breathing.
Been trying to teach my son how to wheel and deal. But he tells me and others, he has never seen anyone like me when it come to making deals. The biggest thing I can tell anyone is... Don't get in a hurry and act like it's not big deal if you get the deal or not. The other things is keep in mind that if you don't get the deal there are other deals to be made. Never do a deal off of impulse. Know what you are after and set a goal of what you are willing to gain or give up.
I might have $250.00 into this amp. I traded 2 guitars that I had less than $250.00 into. I traded them for the Fender amp. I had to buy a switch for the Fender amp. So about 250 into the amp. So no mater what I still come out ahead on the deal. Now if I had bough the amp new (Fender) I would have lost a lot in the deal.
Fenders hold a good value. But Peavey is now starting to climb. They too are starting to hold their own in resale. Even if I were to cash out on the Peavey I would do well. The other thing is don't be afraid to say something. Make an offer and see where it goes. Again set a goal on what you want and how much you are willing to give up. Or in some cases gain.
Do I ever loos out on a deal? Yep. But most of time I get back on something else. Well, this turned into a rabbit trail. LOL!
But, I do this kind of thing more for the fun of doing deals. To see how far I can go. Here where we are now, I am finding it hard to make deals with people. So it's a little slower getting someone to deal with. Just like fishing. Put your line out and see what happens. HA!
I have some things I'll be selling soon. So I'll see where that will go.

I know all the theory Eddie, but the trick is putting it into practice and that's where I fail every time. In these days of the internet, we already know the bottom line on price and inevitably it's for something that is far from common, and to walk away from something you've been jonesing for a long time on a principle of not losing dollars on a deal starts to make you reflect on how short life can be.
A classic example for me was my Yamaha SG2000; it cost me around $1000 but its finish was requiring lots of ding filling (hence my thumbs-up for Dane's timely (for me) YouTube video on drop finish repairs.) I knew that the prices were ascending so I went for it, yet technically that was not a great deal at the time. Now they are $2000- $3000 so in retrospect it was a wise decision and walking away from the deal would not have been a good move. Predicting price trends is a black art.

"A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush". e&oe ...I responded to this yesterday. But for some reason it didn't post. So, I'll try again. When dealing with cash and not a trade the rules change some. The one thing I can say is, if you have cash in the hand it is had for anyone to let that walk out the door. In other words you are there with the cash. If you can't strike a deal with the seller, then that person is unreasonable.
I cannot tell you how many times I have made some good deals with people who were firm on there price. Just like this amp I was told NO!. But here I have the amp. I have found that most people once they know you came with cash to buy, most will come down some. I never try and cut someone down to low in their price. You down what to upset people with a low ball price. I don't play that game. I can't tell you how many times I myself have refused to sell something to someone that low balls me on the price. Nope I wont play that way.
But, the biggest thing id wheeling and dealing is knowing when to say something, and knowing not to. Like the old song says... Known when to hold and know when to fold them... Have I walked away form a deal? Sure. Have I blown deals? Yep! One thing I have learned is not to say to talk to much. Let the seller think he sold you.
But I understand if the item is something that you want to keep, then the whole game of dealing comes into another realm. But, for me I still try and get it for a little less. I just can't help myself. LOL!
For me most of my deals is for turning it around. Or resealing the item. I try and get stuff so that if I do decided I want to resale it that I can at least get out of it what I have in it. Sometimes I will play a guitar or amp for sometime to get my moneys worth out of it, before I sell or trade it off.
But it is an art to wheel and deal. But, anyone can learn how.
