It's a lovely looker Dane. Yamaha did some Pacificas in a similar colour and they shone too. What a lucky gal? I hope she has some idea of the work that went into it.

So cool to sell a guitar. It does look cool! I was just talking about selling guitars that I have made. But for me it's so hard to want to sell them. For me each one I have made for me has a story in them. I made them all for a reason. But out of that I have had offers on a few in the past. Well, lest just say I still have them. I did sell one of my T guitar builds I did, and in fact I was thinking of the guitar and wonder where it has ended up. The person I sold it to would up selling it (cheap) to someone else and I lost track of it after he sold it again.
Well, anyway I hope someone is enjoying it.
I am so excited for you Dane.

Thanks Eddie, I have to sell guitars and do repairs to finance my guitar addiction. Actually I really enjoy building and I don't have the money in the household account to just keep building guitars with no return. And or get more tools. As you know guitar tools and parts add up.

I just wish I could part with any of them! Well I would if I could get back at least 60% of what I sank into them. Every time I undertake this exercise I keep coming back to the same conclusions- I only want to part with a couple of my bitzas and I'm not that desperate for cash that I'll let them go for peanuts (which is always what the market dictates). Sadly, they're worth more broken up and sold piecemeal. Says a lot doesn't it, but this so-called "golden age" of guitars means choice for everyone. The market is swamped with very reasonable guitars at lower prices than the cash you sank into following a whim. I feel sorry for those that have to clear up after me, but not for very long!
Caveat: there is no way I can compare my bolt togethers with Greenie!

Actually I really enjoy building and I don't have the money in the household account to just keep building guitars with no return. And or get more tools. As you know guitar tools and parts add up. I have been trying to get back to that place so that hobby will support itself. But, things here in Alabama to get going is really hard. Plus, this virus junk does not help.
I worked on getting my credit back on track. So, now that I have good credit again, I can at least buy some things on time. This is the only way I can do what I am doing now. I have a couple of guitars (production) that I am going to list soon. But, at the moment the market here has a lot of the same guitars on the super cheap. So, I am waiting until there will be a better time to post them. I don't want to give them away on the cheap side of things.
One of two tools I wish I could get is a thickness sander or planer. But like everything else the prices for even used out here are up there. I am also hoping that next year we can move into a house with a garage or work shed. So, unless I fall into thickness sander or planer it may have to wait until we can move.
Most of my hobby's are self supportive. This is the first time that it has not been. One reason I try and use woods that I can find near me. I cannot see spending a lot for woods that I can't make a guitar out of and sell it. I would if I had someone wanting me to build a guitar for them. Then the cost is on them.
It's been hard here as far as guitar building goes. Even trying to find guitars to work on. Wish I could find a small place to open a shop. Maybe more people would come to me if I had a shop somewhere. But who knows? Times like this I wish I could go back to AZ.

Eddie I'd have to make even more $ per job and have a lot more traffic to pay for a space. I like doing this but I never want it to feel like a job.

Eddie I'd have to make even more $ per job and have a lot more traffic to pay for a space. I like doing this but I never want it to feel like a job. I don't want it to be a job as well. I was wondering if I could get things going better if I had shop. I have had a lot of people call me wanting me to work on there guitars, then once they find out I work out of my house they don't come by. They wont even respond to my calls.
So different out here.
If I could fine a good wood source, I think I would make Ts and S body's and try selling them on line. I'm trying to figure out what to do Dane. It's been really hard on me here. I have no connection here what so ever. My wife tells me not to worry about it. As long as I don't go over board with buying things will be OK.
Parts are the other thing. If I had a resale license, then I could buy hardware at a better price. That would help a lot in the builds. Right now both of my builds I'll close to $500 to $600 into them.
I would have to ask a lot more for them to cover shipping and handling. Plus that is not counting on a case for each. That's a least another $100.00 for a case, my cost.
So, I think I am going to keep building for now. See were things go.

You could try using a small local shop as a drop off point. Someone that doesn't already have a repair guy. If I ever move that's what I would try cause our client base won't follow us. LOL I have two projects ongoing for one of my regulars and he brought a third by today. 1946 Ricky lap steel with a few issues.

Please, if you can find the time, do a short video of that Richenbacher lappy Dane, I'd love to see that.

I guess your Richenbacher is not a frying pan, but I so want it to be. Like this one: youtu.be/EaIMnCzbmyMSweet. Oh so sweet. e&oe ...

That is a great looking and sounding guitar, Dane. Superior job...the guy you built it for got an incredible deal.
Love the video - lots of detail, and that is what I like!
Keep up the great work...look forward to many more.
