Thanks for the great comments!
I sure miss some of the guys and girls that used to be on here. Wonder where they all went? I guess a lot of them may have gone to FB or YT.

I was talking to Admin about this; when we started GuitarAttack in 1998 there was no Facebook, YouTube, or anything else other than websites and message boards. We've had a lot of great folks pass through the GuitarAttack board over the years, and they left a lot of great content. I even had a guy contact me from StewMac telling me he got interested in guitar repair after looking at the site and reading the forum. We've had our share of trolls, but most of contacts I've had on here have been very positive. You never know who you might influence, so that is why I always try to do my best. I have lost interest in a lot of the social media out there, but I do really miss MySpace because it was great for music! Thanks you all for contributing and we're going to keep this going as long as we can. Stay Well and Good Luck, John

Thanks you all for contributing and we're going to keep this going as long as we can. Stay Well and Good Luck, John You Tube I don't mind to much. But FB is another story. FB keeps taking down a lot of my post. I had a page on there that I call " The life story's of Eddie" They kept on flagging me or taking down my story's because they side it went against their policy's. What a joke! They bugged me so much that I took the page down. I went on my Time line not to long ago and they had taken or deleted most of my stuff I had posted, and the put one of their banners over the ones they left up. So I wound up taking almost everything off of FB. I do have "Eagle BLues custom guitars and amps" page now. So far they have (FB) has not bugged me about that one! LOL! Plus I do use that market place from time to time. But for the most part FB has become a breading grounds for a lot of "trolls" and hate post.
When I first got on FB it was a cool place to go and talk to long lost friends. But these days with everything going on it has not been all that fun.
John, Guitar Attack has been a huge blessing to me. Everyone on here from the time I joined the forum, has been a big blessing to me. I hope that some of my posts will help people to come here and maybe find something that they are missing else where. I know right now it seems to me I am showing things that have been seen a lot over the years. But like you side, you never know who may be looking.
I remember when I found Guitar Attack. It was out of not knowing what to do over a Tele I bought on eBay. That is where it all started for me, as far as wanting to build guitars. I got hold of you through the SAGA guitar builds, and you posted that Tele, on the how to page. (tech page) It was during that time I found the forum. I didn't join the forum for some time. At that time there were so many so far ahead of me. But, then I decided to join up one day, and I found a bunch of people that helped me out in big ways. Yes there was one or two that didn't seem to like me so much, but they didn't stay around.
I will always be grateful to you and the Guitar Attack people. I will always have the blessing of the Guitar Attack guitar that a lot of people where a part of. It and my 71 Gibson LP will someday sit in a glass case next to each other.
I have tried to promote Guitar Attack on my FB page. Some have wondered over, but they seem to have wondered off. Heck I can't keep people on my page as well. Maybe it's me.
But Thank you so much John for the Guitar Attack site, and for all that you have done. And thank you to all that have been there for me. Through my bad times and my good times.

That first Lester is a cracker Eddie, I can easily see why you regretted moving it on, and I say that even though Lesters are not my favourite guitar. I csn see the quality of workmanship and finish in those pictures.
I'm a conscientious objector as far as FacePage goes. I had to sign up for an account to view some advert on one of their sites, so when I went to your eaglebluez site it logged me in straight off, but because I don't "do" FB I very rarely go within a mile of any of their invasive content.
That's what's so great about Guitar Attack- a lovely atmosphere. I've never known any ignorant folks posting on here. I inherited admin on another guitar related Proboards forum (the 85 years old boss was thinking of closing it down after a bad experience with trolling) and I asked him to reconsider so he passed one of the reins to me. I don't really like the responsibility, and would gladly get another contributor on board with me because I believe that certain decisions shouldn't be down to one idiot like me, but I don't want to assume that anyone would actually want to, so elevating status without agreement as happened to me is a non-starter. It's another polite and friendly backwater and when the boss passed 18 months ago, we took the joint decision to go over to given names instead of "handles". It works very well and he would be proud that we've carried on. OTOH- FacePage? No thanks. It's just not worth it. Perhaps this explains why I see your FB content so infrequently Eddie, it's excellent but FB is not on my daily, weekly or even monthly radar.

It has not been the best thing I have been on. I am looking at a new thing on line called "MeWe" It's kind of like FB. Not sure if I like it or not. I signed up yesterday. Still in the try out stages for me. They have a free one and a pay one. The pay one lets you do more. The free one looks like it's more for chatting with people. I'll know more about it as time goes on. There are no ads on it. They are trying to give FB some competition.
Thanks for the comp!
