Hi All, I started this guitar a few weeks ago and it's kind of back burnered right now waiting for money to get my pups out of hawk. I'll link a video right now and then some stills. The title explains what it is, the vid will talk about wood choice.
Edit; video's not loading I'll try at the end of thread.

Love it already. I was going to build a neck though night hawk some time ago. I love the shape of a night hawk. OH well. Is this for a customer or is it for sale?
Cool really cool! Dane! EB

Nighthawks are cool! But neck through? That's just inspired. You've got that Firebird thing going on at the headstock. I like that, it looks neat and gives us something of a fresh look for once. This one is going to be wicked Dane.

Thanks guys,
It will be clear, I've been building natural wood for a while. I keep looking for interesting wood types and blends.
The neck thru came out of a best use of timber thing. I think I said something about design on the fly in one of the videos. I really try to think/plan to the end of the build before the first cut.
This one is for sale but if I like it to much... It could happen with John's pups. Right now I don't have any personal guitars with hummers. Not that I don't love my carved top pauduk with P90s.
The gal whose 00-18 Martin I'm working on really likes it too but I think she wants something more pointy and shredder like.

so did you do an angle on the neck? I love my neck through guitars. I still want to make one more neck through. I was leaning toward a T-stile neck through, but after seeing this I may change my mind... I wanted to do one last summer (night Hawk) but I wound up doing the Les Paul... Love the shape of these guitars. Can I talk you out of a line drawing of the body? HA!

I can send you a tracing but I'm out of state right now, remind me when you need it. The neck angle will be different depending on which bridge you use, I'm using a hard tail top loader and the angle is about 1 degree. Prolly be 3-4 degrees with a TOM. Nighthawks came with their unique style hard tail.
