Almost there...a few more touches then on to hardware. This has been a long, tough build and I still have to wind some pickups for it. John

Sweet, the grain pops better in this pic and looks very nice. What are you planning for pups?

Nice looking guitar John.... I hope you know someone that can wind up some cool sounding pickups for it. Ha! EB Gents - I'm winding two prototypes for this guitar. The bridge pickup is kind of a "PAF meets Super Distortion" with blade pole-piece bobbins, and the neck will have an overwound Williams ClassicBucker with a special magnet wire. Still playing with magnets...not sure which ones I'm going with. That is in line with my GOCD...(guitar obsessive-compulsive disorder). I need to finish some projects! John

GOCD, I've got that too. Nothing I can't handle.

I believe it is complete. Had to change the bridge pickup to something a little beefier, and getting the Floyd Rose floating correctly took some extra work. However, it is playing great but I am quite sure there is more to come with this axe. John

Looks killer! This is one of those times I like black hardware.

Thanks, Chris....I felt the black hardware would look cool on this guitar. It's look was loosely modeled after Slash's red Custom Shop Les Paul from the late 80s...which had all black hardware.
I've got it playing great now....on to the next one!
John
