Still can't decide if I like the full on humbucker or the single coil sound... It's the fist time I have had a problem deciding... More times than not I go with the humbucker... But these humbuckers split sound AWESOME!!! I'll know more once I get to play her in a band... To me playing, in a band is the real test of how a guitar will truly sing... EB The AttackBucker+ single coil sound is unlike your store-bought split humbucker. This has been a common reaction from players who have tried these pickups. You'll like both sounds! John

Yes in deed... again I was just playing on her... I am falling in love with this guitar. John have you ever played them clean and do some finger picking... Wow!!!
People you need to buy these pickups from John!!! They are awesome!!!! Not only are they good for that hard edge sound of rock but man oh man the clean tones are just as great!
Wish I could afford to replace all my humbuckers with these... Thanks John for a great set of pickups! I do have a tele I built sometime ago, that I just love that guitar. I may get with you in a couple of months and get you to make me an other set for it... Oh that one has two uhmbuckers in it.

I did a demo in Nashville today, and I'm going to build several sets for display in a major guitar store. Hope to do a demo video next week - thanks again for all of the support. John

I think once the word gets out at how good these are, you are going to need to hire some people to mass produce them. And you are welcome! They are great!

Well, I got the rings done today, as far as shaping them, and started to put on the tung oil. Hope to have them installed next week sometime.
again I'll post some pictures later on next week...
I plan on playing her at church this Sunday... That will give me a chance to see how she sounds in a live setting...

As some of you know, we had to move... Well I got my little 8' x 12' shop up and going. I had two projects I had to get done. So I got them out of my way last week.so then it's on to other things I was wanting to get done to this build.
I built some new pickup rings for this build sometime ago. So just today I got them put on. Sure makes the guitar look so much better. Hey John, I even think the tone is better now. HA!
I will try and get some pictures of it and post soon. I also was able to tweak the neck some more, and now have the action down to where I like it.
I am really loving this build. I love the looks of it, and the sound is just awesome. I hope to have a sound video of it soon, along with the guitar Attack guitar.
there has been so much going on in our lives the past 3 months... But I hope things will start to settle down and I can get back on track.
This winter I am going to focus on going through all my guitars. Some guitars I am going to disassemble and sell the body's. Some guitar will get redone. I need to down size how many guitars I have. We moved into a smaller place, so we just don't have the room for them all... I may even give a few away, who knows what I'll do. HA!

Moving is the ultimate drag. I really think if I had to move my shop again I would just hang on to my tech tools and give up building. Maybe just buy parts and do assembly's. Na I'm all talk I don't think I could give up building.

Welcome back, Eddie! Moving is tough on those of us with the guitar habit. It takes so long to get set up and ready to go. Keep in touch.

Here is a picture of the new pickup rings... I think they look so much better than what I had on it. EB

How did you do that Eddie? The neck-through stripes running through the rings that is!
Real N-e-a-t...

antares, Look at the past pictures, I show how I did it. this has become one of my trade marks on building guitars. I like making the strips go with the lines of the guitar. A lot of people don't take the time to line them up the way I do. But I think it really adds to the "Tone" of the guitar... HA! HA! I just had to say that....

yes it has been a while... I think we have 3 more boxes to go through, then we are all done unpacking... Between being in a lot of pain and the stress of moving, the wife and I decided to take our time unpacking. It's been good to take our time. We have gotten rid of a lot of stuff... LOL! wish we could have done that before the move. HA! But it's nice to be in house again. We almost forgot what it's like to live in house... So much nicer than an APT.

Eddie's an old pro at this sort of thing. He makes it look easy.

I have a serious "junk" issue myself! I don't think that you're in a minority there Eddie...
