Looking great. for some reason, I could always spray coats with Rattle cans so smooth, they would not need to be sanded or buffed. But with a spray gun, that should make things easier and better, I cant even come close.

I think it's the weather. I live where the weather is wet or humid most of the time. I remember painting my cars in AZ where it was nice and dry, I could get paint or clear out of can to do the same. Nice and smooth, and like you said with a spray gun it was even better. But here where I'm at just below Alabama, I have had to color sand everything. Plus the dust here right now is really bad (pollen) that stuff is everywhere! So I have learned to deal with it.

Oh. My. Gosh. This thing is coming out brilliant Eddie! Wow, that might honestly be the best burst I have seen you do! The colors blended so perfectly! Gosh, this thing is down right gorgeous indeed!
Great glossy finish so far and I would also like to see a picture of all of the parts you got in. Especially the pick you got from KC!
Looks tremendous man!

I took pictures of the parts, but for some reason I can't find them. Hummmm... I'll have to post them tomorrow.
Thanks Don for the complement! I may not get all the coats of clear on by Sunday. It's suppose to rain again this weekend. So I'll get some on in the morning and see if can put some more on later in the day.
This build has been and is a lot fun. I'm surprised at how far it's come in such a short time.

OK here are the photos of the parts I got in yesterday. The picture of the pick came out a little fuzzy.

Your guitar is looking great. That's pretty close to the color I'm wanting to do on this tele I have in pieces. Wish you all could see this in person. It looks even better than the photos. Can't wait to see it all done! I'm waiting on the decal for the head stock, So I'll be putting on the clear for that after I get the decal. chezvoz, I like doing the stain, It's real easy to use and you can get any color you want or can dream up. The tow colors I used I had custom made. The only thing I don't like about it is the price. the Custom yellow cost me 20 dollars as well as the orange. The orange I had mixed some time ago. There is enough stain there to do a whole lot of guitars.

Yeah the stain I had mixed for me was like 8 bucks for a half-quart and it will last a long time. But the only other size they had it in was like a half-pint and I wasn't sure if that would cover a guitar.
So, far I have really enjoyed doing the stain although I also like an opaque color too with paint so they both have their pros.

I like that Fenson/Gibder headstock! HE! HE! I like the name Fenson! The body is part Les Paul and part Fender Mustang. Don put me up to that challenge to fuse the two guitars togather. I really like the look! I plan on using it on some other builds. I am doing a neck through and the wing of it are of the same design. Once this build is in the curing mode I'll get back on my other builds.
