There is a good chance the it's just grounded out on something. Meter the pup itself and see what you get. d

not grounded out, open. I have visually inspected w/o finding anything.
tonight I am going to dissect the p/u but I don't hold out a lot of hope.

yeah I'm all out of single coils. I have two humbuckers from a Saga LP That's all I have left in parts.

I built a saga strat for my 8 y/o nephew for Christmas. (completed it last Sunday) unfortunately, the bridge pickup is dead. hoping someone here has some saga pickups (or reasonable facsimile) laying around after upgrading their build. email me at dadams88@gmail.com I believe I've got a couple -- will check and email. I have one, but I was careless with a soldering iron and melted the plastic bobbin around one of the eyelets. And then I broke the lead coming off the winding while trying to resolder it to the eyelet.
Lindy Fralin or Curtis Novak I'm not.

Well I have an old one from my Karrera strat that I modified but, it's a vintage pickup with only two leads coming out of it.
