So yesterday i was blessed enough to have been able to buy my first vehicle. Bout time i have my own at 20 years old! Unlike most kids, I did not get a vehicle when i got my liscense from my parents. My parents could barley afford their own vehicles.
So over the years, its been near impossible to do what i needed/wanted to. I had to wait for my mom to use hers, and she would not let me take it anywhere i wanted to go ( hunting, fishing) So, after YEARS of looking, i finally purchased my first vehicle (all on my own mind you)
Its a 99' F150. Its a beater, and i hope it will last me a while.

Congrats Killer, It means a lot more to earn it for yourself then have stuff given to you. I've been very happy with my f-150. I just payed it off last week. d

Hey yeah congrats on that! I have a 2001 F150 It's been a real good truck. It's our only car we have and thanks God it's paid for. I don't know what we would do if we had to make payments on it. Yeah still no work...

I didn't own a vehicle until I was 25. I used to hitch, bike (10speeds!) and bum around with my guitar in florida for years.
buying it yourself at 20 (or any age) is way more impressive than having mom and dad buy you a car at 16 (or any age).
btw, my first vehicle was an F-150 for $800. got me through 2 Chicago winters until I could afford a newer car.
