The Story of Anvil

There's a movie out (I think its playing on VH1) called "Anvil - The Story Of Anvil" that you guys should see!

Its about the band Anvil (duh!), that these guys formed way back when they were like 18... now they're in their 50s, and still trying to get their Big Break... Sound like anyone we know...?

Anyway, its an interesting flick...

Anvil has been on VH-1 classic's 'That Metal Show' several times. they really come across as the anti-rock stars who do it for the love of music.

the story behind the movie is that 20+ yrs ago they were approached by a fan for autographs and they were polite and cordial to this fan and invited him to work briefly as a roadie for them. fast forward 20 yrs and this fan became a big time hollywood screenwriter working with the likes of Steven Spielberg. when he heard anvil was still touring, he came up with the movie concept.

ANVIL!! I always thought these guys shoulda made it. The Forged In Fire album kicks! I know, Bloodmoon's a blues guy, but I still like Anvil, Exodus, Exciter, and such!! I'm gonna go jam now - Motormount!
