Check this link out www.kramerforum.com/forum/showthread.php?t=12900I have a particularly bright humbucker in my Kramer F 1000 and I changed the volume pot from a 500k to a 250 and that took some of the brightness out of the pickup, which is what I wanted. Mark

I finally broke down and did it yesterday. I went out to guitarelectronics.com walk in store, which happens to be conveniently located about five minutes from my apartment;D and I purchased the items with which I would rewire my guitar:
1 A500k DPDT push pull pot 2 B500k (tone pots) 1 A500k CTS pot 2 orange drop .02 capacitors 1/4" output jack
After not being able to stop the buzzing in my guitar I had had enough and decided it was time to take matters into my own hands. I removed all the components from my guitar and started over from scratch, junking the crappy stock parts from my saga kit. I think the three way toggle is the only original part still on the guitar. After several hours of head-scratching over incorrectly drawn wring diagrams, I took a break, thought things through and started over for the third time. This time completely ignoring the wiring diagram, except for the part about the push pull pot which I was not familiar with, and started literally from the ground up. I took the bridge off and ran a new ground wire up through the body cavity and stripped enough wire to stick up out of the hole with ferrule in and the snipped off the excess wire. Worked like a charm. Then I "star grounded" everything--the switch, all four pots, the output jack and both south leads from the pickups--to the bridge ground wire. I am proud to announce that I now have a pleasantly buzz free guitar with smooth working volume and tone pots, and my newfound coil tap has added a very cool, very usable addition to my guitar's tonal palette. I'm looking forward to doing the same with the neck pickup once I get another 4 wire pickup. In addition to that, the new high quality CTS pots have made a huge difference. The neck pickup has a nice thick and bright tone which nicely complements the bridge, especially when I blend it with the bridge in single coil mode. I hope to record some samples soon and post them.
