I am about 90% done with finishing my saga les paul. The next task will be to tackle the electronics. I will be installing a DPDT push/pull pot for coil tapping, but doing so is going to require disassembly of my pickups. I figured while I've got them disassembled I would like to rewind them and put in hotter magnets. My only question is, where to do I get the magnets and the copper wire?

thanks. It's probably going to be a while before I get a chance to do this modification. I'm leaving for boot camp in four weeks. So it will give me a project to look forward to after basic training. Hooyah! I checked out stewmac. I'll probably buy the whole pickup kit, not just the magnets and coil wire. I like the chrome covers, but I think a set of custom overwound zebras would be just the thing to pull my whole rig together.

You might consider AllParts. They usually have pickup parts in stock. Their site is: www.allparts.com/Good Luck, John
