Me again !
Bought some bodies from a guy and as you know, I am not happy with the holes that were drilled for the neck plate. That problem I can fix.
New problem.
I received 3 bodies. 2 of them are 2 piece and the other is made from 4 pieces of swamp ash. The seams where the pieces are glued together are in the exact center of the guitar body running almost dead center from the bottom and right on through the center of the neck pockets. Is this going to be a potential strength problem due to the glued seam's critical location in the neck pocket? Seems I read about this somewhere before, that the seam should NEVER be in the guitar's center.
I bought necks licensed by Fender and they don't fit the neck pockets either.
The guy advertises money back guarantee with shipping.
Should I ship them or try to work with them ? Please help.
John

John -- You have to make up your own mind, but as for me, I've become extremely intolerant when it comes to poor quality and poor customer service.
If you paid your hard earned money for those bodies, do not accept the poor quality. If you are dissatisfied, return them!
As far as the seam goes, I have not seen an issue with a seam in the neck pocket. It may just be me....
However, if the necks don't fit, you must acquit...that is, send 'em back, in my opinion.
Good luck, John
