Have always loved your site!!!
Are there any special tricks for the Floyd rose anchor studs into the body? The body is already predrilled. Do they just slide in, should epoxy be sued, etc.??
thanks

Hey Bob -- I recommend gluing in the studs. I've used a number of methods...a little regular Titebond seems to work well, and you can heat the stud with a soldering iron and pull it back out if you need to.
I know there will be those who say that the Titebond will ruin the tone...I'm ready for the evidence!

Hi there. First post, hopefully this helps. If you're talking about Original Floyd studs, the size hole you need is 25/64". Since the body is pre-drilled, you'd need to know what size hole it is. But assuming that it's the correct size for the stud, you should be able to hammer them in with relative ease. And they should stay put without glue, epoxy, etc. If you wanna go with glue, etc. you certainly can, but if your pre-drilled hole is the right size for the studs, you don't need it. Be careful when hammering them in. I always rest a small wood block on top of the stud when hammering to absorb the blow and to keep me from accidentally whacking the paint. Don't try to get the stud in in one shot, rather take many "lighter" blows with the hammer and get it in gradually until it's flush. Hope this helps.
