Dude -- It is possible. Check this link to see how I put binding on my Goldtop FM3. www.guitarattack.com/fm3gold.htmAs always, be careful, take your time, and attempt at your own risk! Good luck, John

should i fallow your steps for an already finished guitar (gloss black) with a neck-thru? i'm kinda scared to damage both neck and body paint when routing.

That is a tough question. As with any procedure like this, it may be irreversible; that is, it may damage your guitar.
Email a photo of the guitar for an opinion. However, if you are unsure, you may consider taking it to a good repairer/luthier.

Ok Huge mistake. The guitar actually have binding on both sides. They just clear coated them. It's barely visible (they're as black as the finish) but i can feel it when i rub my fingers on the sides. So now my question is how do i get rid off those binding? How can i put new bindings so that the sides+bindings match perfectly Thanks

You may have to strip the guitar and do a complete refin to get it to look to you. You may not be able to save the finish and grind or heat the old binding off.
What brand is the guitar?

Have you considered scraping the finish off of the existing binding?
There is some info on how to do it in the FM3 Goldtop article.
You might try that before getting the Dremel tool out.
