I just bought my second saga kit. This one is a Les Paul type. My first was a Stratocaster type. I would like to do a sunburst finish with this one, but I would like to know if there is any way to finish the guitar without having to strip the epoxy sealer off. I ended up having to sand the sealer off my strat kit which took a LONG LONG time, and turned out to be relatively unnecessary. If I do end up having to strip it, what kind of stripper should I use? I've heard good things about CitruStrip.

Concur with the Citristrip...check out the feature on the Repair Page on GuitarAttack. Dave runs down how to strip a Squier strat and the techniques are similar with the Saga.
Chris -- nice sunburst on the Saga with a brush! For more of a traditional sunburst, check the feature on the Parts Les Paul in the Builder's Forum or the sunbursting 101 at ReRanch.com.
Good luck, John

with whom do you concur on the Citrustrip? Cknowles or myself? Should I use something harsher than Citrustrip? Would aircraft remover work?

I apologize for the lack of clarity. I concur with Chris when it comes to stripping the body sealer. The Citrustrip, while a great stripper, probably won't budge the body stripper. Oddly, it works well on the necks, and I have no objective data to show why!
Again, check out the article on the Repair Page -- the aircraft stripper is discussed there.

Thanks for the input. Once my guitar arrives I'll set her up and play her for a week or so before I get started on putting a finish on it. I'm thinking a cherry red to dark brown burst with antiqued binding. Beyond that, my only plans are to install a DP/DT pot for coil taps. I'll let everyone know how it goes.
