That was a good read John. I have a reissue TS808 but I've never really got on with it. That said, I'm not in the habit of pounding my tube amp's front end so I'm not best placed to have an opinion.

I just wrote a response and then the wifi crashed. So let's try again.
I also thought that was a good article John. I have a Behringer copy on one of my boards. It works well for what I want. Which is my amp-less set up to sound like an amp on the edge of of break up. And maybe just a bit more.
I tried out an 808 earlier on and didn't get it. But I was probably expecting something more distorted that overdriven.
