I was brought to the Guitar Attack site as I had been searching for who invented cordless electric guitars and found the discussion about the micro fret FM cordless guitars. I recall many years ago reading about a Swedish guitar band known as The Sputniks, I think, of the early 60's who performed in 'space suits' and, for that reason, one of their members came up with the first cordless electric guitars. I don't recall much more about it though....

King Duck -- Not familiar with "The Sputniks", even though that is a really cool name.
The MicroFrets is a great guitar. There is not much information out there on the guitar, but it certainly has to be one of the first production guitars with a transmitter. Yes, your very own FM station.

chordless guitar??? like a guitar without the patch jack? gosh, i'm lost. any links to pictures? that would be a cool idea though, but i know that whireless-systems are quite expensive. so i'de assume these guitars would be quite expensive....
