Here are some pictures on the neck blank.
Because my joiner took a dump, I wound up using my thickness planer to help clean things up. All in all, I think it looks pretty good. It is heavy but nice to look at! LOL!
Due to some more health issues, I am going to take some time off from doing stuff. So, I'll be giving everyone a break from me posting. Going to spend some time in cleaning up the shop. I did take the joiner apart, only to find out that the motor is bad and it's obsolete. So, don't know what I'll do without one.
I deal with it, like I always do. EB

It sure looks good all cleaned up.
Bummer about the jointer. Sometimes life just keeps throwing stuff at us. But like you said, you will deal with it. You always do.
Without being to un PC, if you were 40 years younger you might need a emotional support bunny.

Both of us have teddy bears- I always have done. In fact we have a significant number of them. One of them got me past a horse-faced US Immigration official once, but that's another story!

My wife and I spent a lot of time in the shop the last two days doing clean up and moving things around. Trying to reorganize the shop for our future projects. Now that is done, I can get back on the P90 build.
I'll be putting full attention on it to get it done. My new plainer should be here on Friday. I hope to have the guitar up and playing by then. EB

The silver lining to the cloud is that you've got so far with The Neck Through that you can tie the ribbons indoors with no need to rely on machinery Eddie. At least that ought to keep your mind off the setback(s).

Yep, a lot of times I can overcome some things, be it in the shop or life. But it's not always easy to do. I have been a do it on the fly kind of guy. That started a long time ago in fabricating stuff for cars.
That has now extended into guitars and other things I do with wood crafting.
Power tools make my life a little easier in the shop. Like I said, I have a lot of up-and-coming projects that will require a lot of joinery. I rely on the joiner a lot these days. I once had a super awesome table saw that I used to be able to cut wood so straight that I didn't need a joiner/planer. I miss that table saw a lot! I never got any saw marks from ripping or cutting any kind of wood on it.
Well, today I'll be starting to put the P90 together. I am starting to feel some better now. Going to act on it before something else hits me. The guitar looks so good! There will be ab up-and-coming video.
