OK, I could not remember where I was talking about my new Planer. So I started a new thread.
I am loving this new thickness, plainer. The 3 blades make a huge différance. Plus, this is the first one with a stop on it to get the work the same every time. WOW!
Here is the stop. So nice to get the wood to the thickness you want without measuring it out all the time.
These are the mahogany sides I cut off from the Eagle guitar. Nice and flat and no snipe at all. Sure did show up the cracks in the wood, though.
Here is the name brand. So far, I would recommend this machine. Seems to woke well and it not as loud as I thought it would have been. It does make some saw dust that does not go through the dust collector. That could be my vac's fault. May not be big enough to suck all the wood shavings out fast enough.
I have to say, I am so glad I went ahead and go this unit. This works a lot better than the one I had in AZ. I think it's the 3 blades. I did buy an extra set of blade for it. Hard telling when I'll need to change them out. But I don't have a place nearby to go get new blades should I need them.
Well, I had to stop working in the shop. It was getting super hot out there. Had to come in where it's cool. EB

To let you know; That I tested this with, Maple, mahogany, and ebony. If it planes them woods. There should be no problems with anything else. But I do still need to cut up some of that heave wood I used on the Eagle guitar. Going to make fret boards out of the wood. Too heavy for anything else. LOL! EB

Very cool Eddie, glad you are happy with this tool. Dane, it is the best one I have owned. One of the things I learned that I didn't know is the right way to adjust the in feed and out feed tables. When adjusted correctly, you can end the snipe on the wood. What you are after is kind of like a V shape. You don't want the tables all the flat. Works great!
