Thinking of a new build. It is one I tried to do a long time ago, but things did not go well. It is a rebuild of my first guitar. I still have the old gold glitter pick guard and the pickups from that old guitar.
It was my first electric guitar. I still have the body and what is left of a neck. I can use them as a guide to make a new body and neck. The old body was made from plywood that has started to come apart. The neck is cracked, and the tuners are gone. I use the fret board on another build.
I am thinking of maybe using pine for this, as far as the body goes. Likewise, I have not made up my mind. I do have some nice woods I can use for the neck.
I think it would be a fun build. It would be nice to build this with a nice bridge and tuners and a nice 25" scale with a 12 radius fret board. Make it play like it should have been back then. LOL!
What do you think? Would you all like to see me try and pull this off this time? EB

Like always, something has changed. I don't know when I'll be able to do this. The guy that gave me the thickness planer came a took it back. What a bunch of you know what! So, that means I will need to go and buy one.
I have to go into the big city in two weeks to get some more test done on my brain. I am going to try and get me a new thickness planer then. I'll have to use a credit card. OH, well! More to fallow in yet another thing in my life!

As you know Eddie we are all happy to follow along with whatever build you might find yourself tangled up in. We used to have a name for people that gave you stuff and then took it back. But we can't say that anymore. Never did make any sense anyway. Just like giving someone something and then thing it back.

But the way people are these days I didin't dare use it. LOL! But what is wrong with people these days? I am so tiree of people that say one thing then do another.
Well, I will be buying me a new one. thos time it will be mine for sure. the thing is the one I had he indeed gave it to me. My wife was stanging there when he did and he even said he didn't even know why he bought because he has no use for it. then yesterday I get a text and told me he was coming by to get it. Neve ask if I was using it or nothing! What a jerk!
Oh well... EB

OK, I did it. I ordered me a new one. It's 13" 3 blade thickness Planer. It should be here on the 6th or the 7th, I can't remember right now. Please don't ask me what brand I forgot that too. LOL! I'll be posting about it after I get it.
At least it will be all mine. EB

Got my New Joiner Planer in. WOW! Works so nice! I did a test piece on it. Nice and smooth. The 3 blades are so much better than the 2 blades.
When I can, I'll do a short video on it.

Thanks for the tips, guys! Right now I stand all my wood on end. That is the one thing I do need to do is make me some shelving to store wood on. I may do that in the fall. But it may be longer.
I have 2 other builds I would like to get done by next summer. I'll have to see how things go. I may only get one done by then. The way I am going.
Dane, I have a guy on my channel wanting a custom Start done. Would you be interested in doing it? I don't think I am up to it. So, I was thinking of telling him about you. Let me know.
