After having insurance cancelled last year because they insisted on an up to date valuation and refused a price list, I declined to pay a so-called "professional" valuer on a percentage basis when all that individual would / could do is solicit a price list. I have approached a specialist musical instrument insurer and have had cause to request an up to date price list for insurance purposes, so having eMailed a polite request, I decided to take a look at the website. www.sobellguitars.com/40th-anniversary-model-guitars/I was interested to see that Stefan has decided to adorn the pegheads for this batch of twelve guitars. All his previous guitars have carried no such logo. Note the final paragraph ...

What a beautiful guitar. Do you know if he is still building? When was your Sobell built? Very envious! John John I bought my "New World" new in January 2015, I think it was made either in 2014 or 2013. The back, sides and one-piece neck are all Wenge. Accordingly, my Sobell is not as purty as that one. That Brazilian rosewood is metaphorically to die for. Sure I am desirous too, but there's no way I could go to what is it? £16,000. Whoa. S.S . was 72 when I bought mine. I was determined to purchase one with the cash lump sums from my rag bag pensions, but I was aware that would tread heavily on his advancing years. We're all getting there ... I was lucky being in the right place at the right time and especially at what was a favourable price, so I have further enjoyed an extra eight years of playing. I am aware that such expensive instrumments are an emotive subject, but you only get one chance at your life. I heard a quote from the American writer Mary Oliver a few days ago which went like this; " ...Tell me, what else should I have done? Doesn't everything die at last, and too soon? Tell me, what is it you plan to do With your one wild and precious life?"
