Seen this video. I really like how this guy teaches guitar. Look at it and let me know what you think? EB

Been watching Tim for a long time now. Of course just about everything he plays and says is way over my head. He is a tremendous player.

First I've heard of him Eddie. He sure radiates plenty of confidence. Much of that stuff is instinctive, but you can only get that after decades of playing, and this kind of thing really helps you to fast track if you can inculcate it.
Danny Gatton was supposed to have said "The trouble is, when you get to the top of the tree, you find out there's a lot of leaves up there." We are in a golden age of great guitars and great guitarists, and it seems like every day you see another contender on YouTube and elsewhere. It follows that I can derive easily as much inspiration from John's top-notch playing on his recent videos from a couple of years back.

I like this guys videos a lot. I really like the sound of his guitar. I need to hook up my delay pedal again. I did have a sound something close to his at one time. But have gotten lazy and would rather plug into the amp and not mess with the pedals. LOL!
But he teaches in an lay back way that makes since to me. He uses a lot of techniques that I use. The thing is I learned mine form years of playing. It was nothing I learned form someone else. It was form many, many years of playing.
I wish I could have been a studio guitarist or been one that plays on TV shows as my job. At one time I was in collage to get a music degree. But life got in the way and all of my dreams for that went out the window.
This video for me is refreshing. This is another person with a lot of knowledge and wants to share what he knows with the world. To me that is cool! That is what I like about John's videos and Dane's videos. And many others. Yes there are a lot of videos out there. But only a few of them are heart felt and are really trying to help people in their quest to be better at what they do.
They put in the time and show their passion for what it is they are trying to teach us all. Yes there are only a few. But they make life so much better. EB

I really liked the sound(s) he was getting too Eddie. It helps to have great gear like that and a good soundspace, but much of it is in the fingers and the grey cells driving them.
One sound that I rarely seem to be able to dial in is that peachy scooped middle sound. It's sort of hollow but with plenty of presence. "Toanz" are so difficult to describe? I hear someone with "that sound" and I think "That's it!" but I don't have much luck getting it myself. Careful EQ I guess?

Thanks for the compliment, Steve. I do appreciate it.
That is a great video, and he makes the entire enterprise look really easy. He is a pro!
