That's way beyond cool John. I listened to that because I actually really wanted to, and both of our feet were tapping involuntarily! I listened on the "smart" 'phone since I got the link through the Android Proboards app, but it'd sound even better through the hifi too. When's it going on general release!

Thanks, Steve...appreciate it. As Sir Mick reportedly aid, “It’s a noise we make, that’s all. You could be kind and call it music.”
I did all of the guitars and bass, plus did the production. My colleague Will, who lives in Virginia, contributed the great drums remotely. He used vintage Ludwig Vistalites and a four mic Glynn Johns mic setup. Those are real drums...a rarity these days.
Thanks again, and more to follow on this.
John

I said to Linda that they were real percussive sounds. When it was solo'd, the bass *tone* was impressive too. You have every right to be proud of how it turned out. The first EP was more than just competently good, but I found myself humming along to most of the melodies on this second one. I have probably four or five Satch waxings so forgive the comparison, but we both said it. In my view this was equally as good as much of Joe's oeuvre.

Wow, Wow, Wow!!! Something very Beck-esk to "watching the river go by" really love that melodic phrasing. Something very very top notch about all of it. Totally face melting rock John!!

I listened again through my PC which is hooked up to a 100 watts per channel Yamaha ES series hifi with Monitor Audio Monitor 3 loudspeakers, and it really is worth taking the time out to do that. For a start you get to hear more of what John heard. That's one of the drawbacks of modern music consumption- compression is a given, but ubiquitous throttled playback leads to a lowering of expectations.
I never download music- I always try to buy a CD, and then rip it if I want to carry it along with me. That way you get the best of both worlds- cake and eat it too if you will, and I fancy the artists benefit better that way as well? My only issue is being charged over and over for vinyl, then cassette, then mini disc, and then still being fleeced 99 cents a track for MP3s, all of the same intellectual property. I know they're shark infested waters, but I believe there's a good incentive to make EP2 available to the buying public. Perhaps you're taking the wider view of a full CD size offering down the line?
If Alice in Chains could do it with "Jar of Flies / Sap" then anything's possible. Well done John. I can only dream!

Thanks to all for the kind words on the music.
We have an entire generation of people who have never bought music...not even a single. While there seems to be a new affection for vinyl, I believe it is a blip.
In addition, I believe the majority of young people have never heard a song that wasn't an MP3....lossy and worse-sounding than CDs. Throw in on top of that the fact nobody seems to be into hi-fi systems other than wireless earbuds.
I always do a mix check with earbuds...sadly.

Well IIRC, many high end studios once had an Auratone Cube at each end of the desk for what I assume is the same reason- mix for the intended playback scenario? (That is until the little Yamaha NS-10s became ubiquitous.)
I struggle along with a pair of amplified Behringers on my M-Audio NRV-10 firewire 10-in-10-out mixer, but it's not equipment that lets me down ...

They are good for confidence mixing. I also do a lot of initial mixing in mono. It sure helps you find phase problems. And, thanks to my analytical son, I take a lot of notes during mixing. John

Both EPs are up on all the streaming platforms...trying to get some live gigs going later this summer.
One of my New Year’s resolutions was to play more guitar this year....I need to pick up the pace.
Thanks to all, John
