I don’t know if anyone has caught any of Mr. Young Je’s videos on YouTube but he is an outstanding craftsman. I first found his channel back when I first started getting in to woodworking with hand tools pretty seriously and I wanted to make my own wooden planes and I found his channel and I’ve been following him for quite sometime and I actually have a couple of his handmade steel framed planes. The shooting plane snd his shooting board really caught my eye. Being mainly an acoustic builder with a proclivity for hand tools I do 90% of top/back plate joining with a shooting board versus a jointer. While I could draw up a plan for a shooting plane with measurements and have my buddy across the river blow the peices out on the torch table, water jet or plasma cam,go back to my shop and tig weld the body together and be done in less than half a day young’s shooter is a absolute work of art,the sole and sides are hand cut steel dovetailed together. Amazing!! Enjoy. youtu.be/_fl0Xn_EcXE

Too much for me to build at this time in life. But a great video. I wished he would had shown it working at the end of the video. But a true craftsman. I like to watch people that know their craft. To me it look like hes done this before. LOL! Cool stuff! EB

Eddie,he has a video of it along with the extremely overbuilt shooting board he built in action. I don’t know how he does it,he’s in his 60s now.

I loved how he used blocks to control the workpiece when he was deep chamfering the blade. I wasn't so keen on him having the foot on the bandsaw so high. Great bit of work though. I get the impression that guy could have a crack at anything.
