OK, On another post we have been talking about acoustic guitars. I have been in the market for on for the last month or two. I had sold my Takamine and my Alvarez acoustic to one buyer, right before we had to move. So, I have been looking for another acoustic since we have made the move and are in our new place. But I just didn't another guitar that I have owned. I didn't want a Taylor or Martin, or another Takamine. I wanted something that I have not owned before.
So, I put my USA Tele deluxe up for sale or trade. In less that 24 hours I had about 25 to 30 people wanting it. WOW! I have never had that many before! But wound up with two guys that really wanted the Tele.
One guy had this acoustic and the other guy was cash. So the guy with the cash came by first. He fell in love with the Tele so he went home with it. Not the other guy with the acoustic had it on eBay, so, I knew he wanted to sell the guitar. So I told him I had sold the Tele but if he wanted to he could still come by and let me look at the acoustic he had. He came by and yes I wound up buying it. One of the cool things was I had money left over from buying the acoustic than if I would had traded. LOL!
So, I bet you are all wondering by now what I got. Well, the guitar I bought I had never owned an acoustic made by them and had never even played one.
So what I got is a Fender Paramount. It a slim guitar and smaller in size than most acoustics. It more like a concert I guess. Well, anyway, I played and I really, really liked it. It has good sound all the way from E to E. I checked the intonation on it and its dead on. I even checked the tuning on the 3,4, and 5th frets and they too are dead on. So for me this was just what I was looking for. Not to big and easy to play. Nice thing is I don't have to do any set up work to it. I don't know who he took it to for a set up, but they set it up pretty close to were I would have.
Here are some pictures of it. Please excuse some of the blurry pictures. I have the shakes today. Been a bad week for me...
Oh, it did come with a case. The guitar looks like it had never been played. Not a mark on it. No fret wear at all. I am happy with it. Even the wife likes how it sounds. I'll be keeping it around for a long time. EB

Nice looking guitar Eddie. Most of the Fender acoustics I've played have been lower end guitars. Less than 400$ but they all have sounded very good. I've often thought my ears were trained to cheap guitars because I could never afford top end stuff. Oddly enough, my son, who has a very good ear and as close to perfect pitch as anyone I've ever known. Left his 900$ Washburn with me and took an old cheap Fender I had home with him.
Sorry to get long winded, just wanted to say I'm not a guitar snob and I think you scored a beautiful guitar Eddie.

These sell for close to $1000.00 new without the case. This one looks as good as new as one can get. It looks like I walked into a music store and bought it. Even the case looks the same way.
The thing is I am happy with it. It really is everything I was looking for in an acoustic guitar.

As usual I had to view those pictures in a web browser because the Android app for Proboards is lamentable, but I have to say that is one cool scoop you've pulled off there Eddie. You have the knack and I wish I had a bit of it too! Nothing rushes you and you end up with good 'uns. Honeymoon period now then! Let us know what you think in a while Bro'.

I don't know if I'll ever get to play out side the house again. But I will see what comes about later on.
You know how I say to people buy the guitar that sings to ya! Well, this is the first one I have gotten in a long while that does just that. Even the neck on this guitar feels great in my hand. As far as I am concerned, I don't think I'll get another acoustic for a really long time. I am pretty much done selling guitars or trading them. I have all the guitars and amps that I want.
I am now going to see if I can get back to working on guitars. I miss working on them. The neck refret that I am doing showed me how much I am missing working on guitars.
I might try and buy a few guitars in need of work to see if I can flip them, so that I may find a few customers along the way.
