I am posting this to help someone out there. Yesterday I had a guitar come in that was not working right. The bridge pickup would work just fine. But the neck pickup would only play at half power. So I opened up the back control plate, and seen a ground wire was not connected. So I soldered it on. But I plugged in the guitar and now the neck pickup did not work at all. Hum... So I looked at one more time and found that the Tone pot had turned and was up against the "Shielding paint" So it was shorting out. Something to look for if you anyone is having this problem.

Good point...this is very common with the import Epiphone and Schecter guitars. Great safety tip!
