My wife and are moving from AZ and going back to FL. Due to my health issues, we have chosen to back to FL to be near family. We will be packing up a leaving middle of next month.
If there is one thing in life that happens is change. Things are always changing. I just counted up my guitars, I am back up to 26. At the beginning of last summer I was up to 45. Sold off some and was down to 16. So I will be going through the guitars and picking out some to sell, in trying not to have to pack so many. In this move it will be hard to sell off some of my collection. But I feel it has to be done.
We posted our house stuff up for sale on Wednesday and by Thursday evening we just about sold everything off. So I hope the guitars will go like that too. I really don't want to take a lot with us.
Well I wanted to let you all know, so that if you don't see me on here for a while, you know what is going on.

Best of luck my friend. Moving is the most horrible thing I can think of doing.

Fair play Eddie. You don't let the grass grow under your feet it seems. We would like to move down to the south west corner of England, but the thought of the logistics frightens me (and in any event- it's quite isolated and difficult to get back again.) At least you know how to let go of "stuff"! I hope this will be your final wagon train.

I will miss AZ a lot, but I have to do what I need to do. We now have been in AZ, this time for 8 years. That time sure went by fast. I know once we leave this time it will be for good. So in that it is sad. But we will be close to some of our 11 grand kids. It will be fun to see them and watch them grow up. Well, for the most part. HA! EB

Well, things are progressing pretty good. Sold off a lot of stuff. House is almost packed up. Down to all them little things that you don't know what to do with. I packed some guitars in boxes. But most have their own case. I think between the guitars and amps, they will take up most of the space in the truck. Been boxing up the amps and pulling tubes out of them. Not a good thing to transport tube amps with the tubes left in them. I bubble wrapped the the tubes and put them in baggies, then typed them into the back of the amp so that they wont bounce around too much. I have a lot of miles ahead of me, not looking forward to that, but I guess I'll live through it. EB

I think I already said this, I'd rather take a beating than move. Take your time and be safe.

I think I already said this, I'd rather take a beating than move. Take your time and be safe. I did my last sermon at my church 2 Sundays ago. In that I told people I was not looking forward to the move. But, I have to do what I feel I have to do. I really don't want to move form AZ. But we have no family here, most of out family are on the east coast. I am not doing well, and I know it's time to make on last move, so that we are near family. I don't want to go into all the whys in what is going on with me and my health. But it is time to let go and make this move. I know that God will be with me no matter where I go. He is with me and I with Him. We are almost done packing. Been doing a little at a time. Maybe one more week or less of that and my wife and I can take a brake. We have a lot of friends that want to take up out for dinner, and we are looking forward to that. We have 3 more Sundays at church before we leave. After that It will be a week or two before I am back on the internet. I may check in on things through my phone, but I'll have to see how things go, as far as the trip goes. Someone said to me, that they could see I have learned to let go of things. I guess in a big way I have, but it's really not that easy. I am so glad my wife understands me and my passions. One of them being my guitars. Looks like they will take up most of the space in the truck. LOL! I have 3 guitars, that I could flip once in FL. I can get like $200.00 more for them over there than I can here in AZ. So I know if we were to get into a bind, I can at least sell them and get a little more for them. This move is a big deal to me and my wife. We are excited and sad all at the same time. But like I said, it is time for us to do this one more time. Thanks for letting me post about this. You all here on Guitar Attack have been great to me. You all are awesome! Eddie ( Eagle Blues)

It's plain that this is a big deal for you Eddie, but also that it's the right thing to do. I hope everything goes off without a hitch. Moving house over here is near the top of the list of life's most stressful undertakings. I marvel that with all of this going on, you were still able to complete the Walnut Nighthawk.
