guitar!

So Just the other day, I went to one of my favorite places. The indoor flea market.
In the there is a guitar store. Most of the time they have guitars for under 200 dollars. So I went there to fine a guitar for my granddaughter.
She is left handed and is taking guitar in school this year. So they just happened to have one. So I got the guitar,case, a tuner, strap, some picks, all for around 80 dollars. It was and is a great deal! the acoustic is a Washburn. In like new shape.
While there the owner showed me this MIM Fender Strat. 2016. It red and gold, with a one piece maple neck on it, and has the noiseless pickups in it.
I didn't think much about it at the time when I was there. A few days later, I got to thinking about it, and asked John, the owner what he had to have out of the guitar, and if there were someway I could trade him out of it.
So he brought me the guitar to my house. Left it with me for a few days. That's the wrong thing to do... HA!

So... I played on it for a day or two, and decided I would like to own the guitar. John told me that the guy that owned it only had it a week, and came into his store and found a Dean he want more than the Strat. WOW!!! So I would up making a deal for the "NEW" guitar and Fender hard shell case, Also new! Wound up getting it for a lot less than buying one from the music store that it originally came from.
I just pulled all the plastic off the pick guard and back plate.
I did one of my set ups to it, and played it church today. I am glad I got it. It too will end up with the rest of my collection of guitars that are not for sale.

Tortie guards are cool and trans-red brings out the grain nicely EB. There's something about an S-type that just fits real nice.

this is the third Start that I have owned that I really like a lot. I owned a Clapton blackie a long time ago. I liked it a lot too. If I would have known how to work on guitars back then, I would still have it today. I played the frets off that guitar. Took in it in to see how much to have the frets replaced, and even back then I was told prices like 250 to 350 dollars. I just could not afford that back then or now. LOL! So I sold that guitar.
This guitar reminds me a lot of that guitar. The feel, the way she likes to sing. The other thing I like about it is. Shes not heavy, but is balanced. NOt neck or Butt heavy at all. It's hard to find a guitar like that.
The neck is one piece maple. Don't see that all too often on guitars. Maybe Fender is putting back some of the ways they use to build guitars.
this guitar also has a push button on it, down by the tone controls. Pretty cool feature, it lets you combine the pickups to get up to something like 7 different sounds.

Very nice. That's what always has been great about Fenders, set em up and even the cheap ones play and sound great - usually.
