yeah, a month was too long to be away from home. Don't know if I would want to do that again. But it was still a good vacation. EB

I'd like to take a vacation that is so long I'd have be retrained when I got back.
Have a safe holiday antares.
Glad you had a good time and got back safe Eddie.
All you guys build stuff and post it on here, I've been to busy with life in general to get guitar stuff done, although I do a lot that doesn't make the forum just because it's to repetitive.

Dane - I'm with you...I don't want to post repeats. I have a Les Paul refurb coming up. Will post it because it has so many challenges!

I do the same thing. There are a lot of repairs and stuff I do that never gets posted. I am just now getting to feel better after our month long trip. Don't know when I'll get back to my projects, soon I hope. I went out with a friend of mine the other day, to go to the music stores. I was so disappointed and let down at the guitars and amp I had seen. Most to me are way over priced and for me just nothing that got me excited. I Don't know if it's because I have had so many guitars, and the ones I do have, I am satisfied with them all, and all of my guitars play so much better and sound better than the production guitars I seen that day. So I am feeling the "Guitars and amp" Blues... LOL! But I guess I'll get over it. EB

Right now the only guitar I'd like to add to my Collection is a Strat. An American would be nice but an older Mexican would do just fine. There's just something about the feel of a Strat that is very comfy. But I did see a jazz master at the Fender factory with p90s that has me thinking.
As far as amps go all the new amps with modeling and gimmicky crap don't interest me at all. I keep thinking how nice an old AC15 would be and recently my bro in law gave me an old "1971" Fender Vibrosonic Reverb with one 15" speaker. Needs tubes but man what an amazing sound/tone.

Dane, I know a guy that is selling a AC15. (I think he still has it) He has two of them. One is an old one (the one I like) the other is a new one. The new one sounds nothing like the old one. They both sound good. But that old one just has a better sound. don't know if it's because the old one is broken in or not. But they did change some things in the amp. the guy that owns them brought both amps to my house, in need of repairs. So I got to see both amps on the inside. Both amps look the same on the outside. But a lot of changes on the inside. So I think that's why they sound different from one another. Again they both sound good, just different. I have been trying to trade him out of the older one. LOL! Since my bro in law gave me the Fender I don't need the AC15, well need is a stupid word like I need any of this stuff. If I had endless storage and money....

HA! I hear yeah! I keep saying the same thing. I have 5 guitars now to work on for customers. All of them acoustics. All of a sudden this week I got hit by them. So I guess I better get busy and get them fixed. LOL! I like the work, but I have to do them as I can. One cool thing about the people that own them. One of the customers is a repeat customer. I like them kind, and he never try's to get me to lower my price.
Yes I have turned away some people because they want me to fix junk for free.
I have a bunch of stuff on CL. Just posted today. I'll see how that goes. LOL!
Looking at a Fender Deluxe Strat, MIM, it's a 2016. Still has a the plastic, and have a new Fender hard shell case. May end up trading one of my amps for it. The guy left the guitar with me, said he would contact me in a few days to see if I the guitar or not.
The guy that has the guitar also has an old Martin acoustic that needs a new neck put on it. He has the neck blank, that need to have the carving finished and fret board put on. He said he may trade the guitar for fixing his Martin. Hum...
