All -- I recently rewired my black Saga T-Style with new CTS pots and a gin you wine CRL switch.
Safety Tip: I had to trim some wood from the control cavity to get the new hardware to fit, and the pots were too big to fit through the control plate -- we had to drill!
There is no such thing as a "direct replacement" on Saga guitars.
Good luck, John

During a recent road trip, I had the Black Tele in a gig back in an equipment trailer. When I arrived at the destination, the fabric on the inside of the gig bag (a nice one, BTW) had made an inprint in the Tele's back and top! This was the only guitar so affected, and I can only conclude that the Deft lacquer was the culprit!
I think I can buff some of it out, but if I can't....REFIN!
The bitterness of poor quality remains long after the elation of low price has faded....
Good luck, John

OK -- the buff-out didn't fix the finish. After some sanding with 220 grit Fre-Cut paper, I've sprayed several coats of clear nitro on the T-Style. It is currently curing and should be able to buff in the next 10 days.
The Deft is a no-go....I'm not sure why I thought it was a good idea!
Keep checking back...will have photos on the site in the next couple of weeks.

OK -- The photos are up. They are linked from the home page and from the Black Tele page in the Builder's Gallery.
Bottom Line: The MinWax spray lacquer (gloss) from Home Depot appears to work really great. It buffed out nearly perfectly. We'll continue to report on how it holds up....keep checking back.

All -- We've gone two months since we buffed out the MinWax lacquer on the Black Tele. The bottom line: it is holding up great and is very durable. Highly recommended.
Good luck, John
