I know Stew Mac, www.stewmac.com/, sell some Les Paul and Benadetto plans, might be harder to find that particular model. Also, try www.google.com/patents, you can search for some plans there are well. Might not be as detailed, but will give you a general idea.

There is not a commercial drawing of this guitar to be had, I'm going to have to find a tracing or all the body measurements. I have a couple of prospects, but nothing has panned out yet. Thanks for the response!

Sorry I can't send you a tracing, but the one I was supposed to buy turned into a big problem/drama.

Oh, No! I'm sorry to hear that! I'm still looking for a drawing or measurements, I'm thinking about blowing up a pic to the right size, I know how wide it is at the widest point.

Thanks Chris I have scoured the internet, and there's drawings for several gibson guitars, I even looked up patent drawings and couldn't find one. Thank's for the link, but I already found it, I have been all over gibson's site. So what I did was have a pic of the guitar blown up to near actual size and I'm calling it good enough.

I don't have a drawing, but I now have an L6-S. I love the ebony fretboard - it's the first time I've ever played one.
So you still need measurements?

So I made my own template from that. But keep it close there may be some things that creep up. This one is going to almost all maple. So how do you like your L6-S? I think there cool guitars. I might make one this summer out of walnut and mahogany. EB

I'm happy to hear that you were able to get it!!! If yours is original I sure would like to have some good pic's of the wiring, especially the 6 position switch.

A nice guy named the Telenator that I found on another forum was kind enough to loan us his template. Keep us updated on how you like the guitar Chezvoz

I'm liking it more than I thought I would. Although it was a guitar I coveted back in the 70s, it's only been this last year or so that I've really gotten a thing for Gibsons. It has just taken me longer to get the sound I want from them - humbuckers have a smaller range of sounds that I really like. I think my fave pickup is a P90.
Anyway, I like the larger but thiner body - especially good for a tall guy like me. It's lighter weight than 70s Pauls, which just about break my back. The neck with the ebony board is so cool - it feels fantastic. I need to get a diagram about what the different selector switch settings do to help me dial in some good sounds. I found that I really need to change my amp settings from ones that favor single coil pups to get the tone I want.
I'll take some photos of the wiring tomorrow and post here for you.
I believe he never changed a thing on this guitar!

Here you go my friend: The available pickup switching options are as follows: 1)Both pickups, in series 2)Neck pickup, alone 3)Both pickups, in parallel 4)Both pickups, parallel out of phase, with the neck pickup's bass response restricted thought a series capacitor. 5)Bridge pickup, alone 6)Both pickups, series out of phase.

Thanks for the switch info... Here's a photo of the guts. There's a lot more stuff in there than I thought. Email me if this photo is too small and you want the full one. Good Luck!
