I have a Squier neck I want to tint a vintage shade. Its brand new . Do I need to strip and sand it before I use the products\directions from Reranch or can I use the thin light coat that is already on the neck as the base coat? Please help

Mooky -- It has been my experience that you can spray nitro over that thick, epoxy finish on the offshore necks. I recently did one that way, and I found it to be much less tramatic than trying to strip the neck. If you do spray on top of the exisiting finish, make sure it is degreased and lint-free before you start spraying. Start with a few light coats to be sure the exisiting finish doesn't lift.
Disclaimer -- try it at your own risk. These offshore finishes can be very different. If you have any doubts, take it to a good repairer.
BTW --Always use a good quality respirator when you spray nitro.
