Ok folks here is the final video on the Martin. Very happy with the result and it's a great sounding guitar.

Beautiful work and awesome results! And it sounds awesome! I admire guys who'll reset a neck on a guitar like that you must have balls of steel!

The two twelve string guitars I did previously were more difficult by far. Being doweled rather than dove tailed. It was really very cool to have a joint come apart the way it was supposed to. The rest is done in very small steps nice and slow and no power tools. And yes the boys are a bit more steely. Oh, I found the heat blanket quite useful.

I got another 00-18 in the shop. 1956 this time, the owner thought the bridge plate might be chewed and need replaced or repaired but the plates good. The high E is getting stuck in the slot in the bridge so a little file work took care of that. The pick guard needs to come off before the top cracks and I'll start a thread for that. This one had a neck set before my customer bought it. String hight is is very good just under 5/64s.
