Hey it looks awesome Eddie, you have really been getting going with this build so fast! Looks great though and I am excited for some color on her. Yeah the paint will change the whole look. I am hoping by next week end to have it at least in primer. I should have all the routing and sanding done sometime this week. I want to get this guitar in paint as soon as I can, before the weather here get humid. Once the paint and clear is on I'm going to let it hang for long while before I do the color sanding and buffing. But I have a long ways to go yet.

OK here is what I have done so far today. This pictures shows what I do before I do any routing. This is called hogging out. I recommend that everyone do this before you do your routing. It save the routing blade and it goes a whole lot smoother. These pictures show before and after routing. The routing is done in 3 passes for each pickup rout. I use two sided carpet tape to hold the routing jig in place.

OK now it's getting interesting... I am thinking of going with the 3 volumes and no tone. This is a picture of what I am thinking. The two outer pickups will be the P90 stile and the center pickup will be the stacked single coil. The stacked single coil can be split so I was going to use the mini switches to split the coil. As you can see the other pot is the on board over drive. So let me know what you think. I'm not going to rout out the cavity for this stuff till I am sure about what to do with the electronics. There are so many ways to go with this build. So I need everyone to give me some feed back on this. Thanks!

Hey eddie the routing and everything looks great man! Nice and clean, as you always do!
Don't you only need one mini-switch for splitting that middle pickup? What's the other one for?
And personally, I wouldn't like have the three volumes, I would want at least a master tone knob of some kind. Do you have a selector switch yet for it?

with 3 volumes you don't need a selector switch. Looks good. John and the crew

Oh ok I didn't know I still personally like a tone knob for some color, especially with single coils in there, but thats just me!

I don't use the tone knob that often so I don't think it's a bad idea to make the guitar without one.
As far as the 3 volumes go, I think it's a great idea you can probably make a great sound if you blend all the pickups nicely together!

Yeah I like the tone too. But I am trying to keep this build different than what I have done before. I was thinking of two mini switches so I can completely shut off one or both coils of the stacked center. That way it would be almost like having 4 pickups. I don't know waht kind of tone it will give me over all. Will it give me a different tone if I can switch from the top to the bottom coil? I really don't know, maybe some one can help me out with this.

OK... I got the neck mounted for now. Here are some shots of that. ON the picture I tried to show the neck angle. Well, again that's it for today. Tomorrow I am going to figure out the rout for the electronics. I am almost thinking of a front panel almost like pick guard. The reason for this is because to get the mini switches in I would have to rout the body really thin to get the switches to mount. So I'll be thinking of that all night. LOL!

OH before I for get I need springs and screws for the P90's and for the stacked single coil (rings) I looked through my stuff thinking I had some but I don't... OK I found one screw and no springs. HA! I also need the neck screws I took them off one of my other guitars to get the neck on this. I get excited to see the neck bolted on.

I think I saw an add for a micro microwave oven, hmm ;D I also think that this guitar is going to require a special pick to play it with. I'm on the case. John and the crew
