TEASER POST!!!!!!
Made ya look.
I buffed out the body today and am starting the assembly. The electrosocket jack I had crapped out on me, so I had to order another. I have a c/c and the neck plate on order as well, so final assembly ain't happening.
I'll post some pics when I get a chance. Or when I feel like it.

They're Ibanez INF 3 & 4 pups. IIRC, hey were in the $25-$35 shipped range. God bless eBay.

Wow... That's gonna pop with some clear coats! Looks to me like a timber from a fire, all skin peelin' hot and blistery...

It HAS been clear coated. Buffed out too. It just does't photograph well for me.

That's the other thing I have found out about building guitars... Not only do you need to build the guitar you need to know how to... Paint, wire it up, know how to take pictures, know how to tune it up, play it, Then once you do all that it's time to do another one! <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<Oh it just makes you sick!!!>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

That's ebay for you sometimes! You can never really trust some things but I always hear of people getting great deals on stuff on there so it's kind of a double-edged blade!

What ticks me off is that I test all the pups with a multi-meter to make sure they work. If they don't, I get a refund. These things worked when I got them, but they're dead now.
Grrrrrrrrrrrr.....

could be a brake in the wire. Did you check them from where the wire is soldered to the pickup? I had a pickup drive me nuts, I would test it out of the guitar, and it was OK, then I would put it back in and I got nothing. Found out it was a bad wire. I guess every time I took it out it would make a connection and then when I put it in it would disconnect because of the wire being pulled on I would guess. But It drove me nuts!!!

OK, I fiddled around with the pups for a while, exploring with the multi-meter. I pulled the tape back and found a broken ground in the bridge pup. I still can't get anything from the middle though.
