I figured a couple of you may have noticed I disappeared for a couple of months. At least a couple people, haha. I had some projects come to a head at the same time this spring. I think I may have had a panick attack or two. I had to stay away from the guitar shop to focus on two seperate music projects, and try to build a car that was in our back yard for the hotrod power tour. The annual pool party/ festival, and my Mom got diagnosed with breast cancer! This was all in the last two months!!! Moms good now. It was caught very early. The surery went well. Her and my Dad are taking a trip to Maine right now. Recordings good. Doing some mixing next month. The car still needs work. Party/ show was fun. Getting back into the shop. I got some recent exposure in the latest Stew Mac news letter. They posted a blurb of one of my last project guitars. Sorry I felt like I have to parade that around!!! And since this is the only forum I post on you get my whole Spiel! I'm posting a link of the car I'm building too. Talk at you guys later, Chris www.stewmac.com/tradesecrets/newsletter/ts0091/ts0091.htmlviewmorepics.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewPicture&friendID=35954650&albumId=3499277

Man you have been busy. I saw the trade secrects before. I get them in my email. But I read right over your name. If it had said the hoz it would have clicked. Nice guitar and nice work. Glad your mom is good I had my own cancer thing starting last Oct. and then a long time growing new skin after that. And now scans every few months to make sure nothing else pops up. Good to have you back on the board. d

Thanks. Yeah, That's the problem with alias names. Maybe I should get my name legally changed to The Hoz. I'd be like Mr. T.
Cancer never really scared me till it hit my Mom. It seemed like the whole world stopped. I can only imaging your scare Dane. I know how your family must've felt.
I should get some more work done this summer. Since I abandon the shop, a bird built a nest in the exhuast fan! A couple of customers have been really patient with me too.

Hey chris, Yeah this post puts me right at the Beastly number but I won't take the mark and my Man already kicked the beasts butt. And my cancer was only skin, but Melanoma, and that can go in side quickly through the lymph nodes and to the lungs and liver. So they get right on that. They found some enlarged nodes between my lungs but it turned out alright, long story short. It makes you reevaluate how your life is going. I'm very determined to get myself mortgage free so If something did go south my wife would be set financially. Did you move the bird out or just fire that fan up? Most of my customers end up being patient even if they don't start out that way. d

Welcome back Hoz!! Family illness can really set you back. My Dad died of Alzheimer's disease back in 2000 after a 12 year battle. I am now 3 years away from the age my Dad was when he got first diagnosed. I live one day at a time and thank God for each one. When I turn 50 I'm going to have a huge bash and you're all invited. Chris

Chris My younger brother has been diagnosed with Alzheimer's just about a year ago. They only give him 3 years till things go south. The family wants me to be tested for as well. But at the moment there are a lot of other things going on with family so I will have to put it off for a while longer. Oh my brother is 53. My Mom was missed diagnosed with breast cancer after they removed her breast is when they found out she didn't have the cancer. That was a double whammy (with Mom) for the family and a long time in court. But no mater what it is, it's always a wake up call to those involved.
