Hi all, I'm working on solo'ing so I wanted too know some songs which aren't too hard. Does someone have suggestions? Thanks, Niels Buy "KISS Alive" and learn all of the solos. Start with "Duece" and work your way through. It is a masterclass in pentatonic rock soloing. Mr. Ace Frehley, the lead guitarist, had a great Marshall Plexi tone and a complete blues-based technique that fueled millions of garage bands. Besides -- it worked for me. Good Luck, John

Anything with a I-IV-V progression works - Wild Thing, Louie Louie, etc. Some other songs with simple chord progressions - While My Guitar Gently Weeps and 25 or 6 to 4 come to mind. BB King was a good suggestion! Most anything by the Stones or AC/DC would be basic enough. I was gonna suggest some punk stuff, but the purists would beat me up and call me a sellout!

I thought I had heard KISS, but then I got that album. Turned a lot of people on to them back in the day.

I listen quite a lot of punk but the music isn't very challenging to play so that's a pitty found some great solo though so I can build up some more skill Thanks for all the help
