Yes now that was a really cool vid. And no doubt about the message of unity and the world wide need to help and treat others as equals. The thing I can't figure out is if they were really all playing together in the head sets. I know I can't play over 80' from my guitar bug transmitter without some delay in signal. So it's highly unlikely that they could use a satellite hookup with no delay which would make it impossible to play together. They could have actually recorded it in studios all over the planet and then blended the tracks. But more then likely they were all recorded in the same studio and mixed down and then the video was added to make it look like one big happy world of stand by me'ers and if that's the case it just isn't the same for me. I hope not. Still looks like a good cause. I know, I over analyze stuff. dane

Yeah Dane, It's one of those things you just have to trust your heart. It felt good to me. I feel it captures what real music is all about for me. I have been down to New Orleans and got to see some of these people (not for this Video) but at other times. I don't know how it was done but all I can say is I wish that we could all play and be free in music like what you hear in this video.
I have the same problem with wanting to over analyze but there are times when you just have to say the heck with it and enjoy what you see and hear. I remember a music teach of mine told me not over analyze music because if you do it wont be any fun.

I wasn't analyzing the music the music is great lots of passion. I just got to thinking about the logistics of something like that and it got out of control after that. peace out, dane

I visited their website, they recorded the first guy in Cali, then went on to other places where the next musician added his/her take on the song. The producers then added that track to the first then visited the next person. At the end careful editing put it together. Simple multi-track recording technique. They also said the recording was done where the video was shot. I spent a few hours listening and enjoying last night... Chris

WOW! that is so cool.
Dane, I know I did the same thing at first. I first heard then I started to do the how they do that? Before long I had too tell my self to stop it. It's not a bad thing it's what keeps us thinking.
Chris, is the cd as good as the video? I haven't been to the web site yet.
