Hey Guys,
I am replacing the speaker in a '68 Gibson Duo Medalist 1 x 12. The original speaker is a Jensen C12N. I would like to keep the original in good shape in case I want to sell the amp some day. I was going to order a Eminence Cannabis Rex but ended up coming out of the store with a Celestion Vintage 30 (actually, a pair, they were a really good deal). Someone ordered them and for some reason didn't want them. I know that they are used in pairs, stacks and combinations by many amp manufacturers, but has anyone had any experience with these or used one all by its lonesome? I don't want to go and open everything up and swap the speaker out just to find out it sounds crummy.

Those Celestions sound good. I have a cabinet with a pair of them, and they sound good at low volume and break up very nicely when cranked.
I believe it will sound as good or better than your old Jensen speaker, and it is probably a good replacement.
My opinion, John
