All -- The GuitarAttack Crew traveled to Greensboro, NC, and saw Van Halen on Saturday, 29 Sep 07.
Bottom Line: It was killer. I saw VH in 1982, and then again with Sammy in 1992, and neither show approached the one I saw last night in terms of quality and intensity. Eddie's playing was text book, and Diamond Dave did a great job on vocals. In addition, Wolfie's bass playing and vocals were great, and Alex's drumming was a powerful as ever.
For me, as a long-time Van Halen fan, seeing Dave and Eddie on stage together was really fantastic.
I will post a full after action review in the coming days.
This is one show worth seeing if you get the chance. Highly recommended.
Good luck, John

Has anyone else seen the Van Halen tour? Looking forward to your comments.
I'm working on a review, and should have it posted this week.

All -- We heard today, 2 March 08, that the rest of the Van Halen tour is cancelled. It was supposed to run through mid-April.
I'm not sure the cause, but there are rumors concerning Eddie's behavior. The second show in Atlanta was cancelled, and the message boards were buzzing concerning the "real reason".
Looking for info here...if you've heard anything please let us know.

More information from CNN: www.cnn.com/2008/SHOWBIZ/Music/03/04/people.vanhalen.ap/index.htmlBottom Line from CNN: Van Halen has postponed concerts this week as guitarist Eddie Van Halen undergoes medical testing for an undisclosed condition. The concerts that were postponed were this week's shows in Dallas; Cincinnati; Raleigh, North Carolina; and Baltimore. They have been rescheduled for April. We'll keep watching this! John
