Hi all, new to this forum. I was reading the article on the frankenstrat, and a question was posed about the possible use of the Ibanez Explorer copy in one of the photos. I went back and listened to VanHalen II and the one possibility that I found was on the song "Bottoms Up". The leads on this song just don't sound like his other leads from I or the leads on the other songs on II. Go listen and see what you guys think. Of course we will never know for sure, but it was a fun little experiment for me. Fantastic site by the way. I was checking out guitar builder sites and came across this one and stayed here the rest of the night!

Thanks for the props on the site.
We know that the Ibanez Destroyer was used throughout the first two albums. That solo is a possibility, but it appears that it was used more frequently than that.
Check out the photos of VH in the studio during the VHII sessions...there is an additional guitar we don't know about sitting on the stand (unpainted Strat-style). What song was that used on, if at all?
This is one of the great mysteries of VH...my only option is to start practicing again!
